Farmers Branch Suburb of Dallas, TX 93 reviews
#9 Best Suburbs to Live in Dallas County
Current Resident: I've lived in Farmers Branch for 3 and a half years. Neighbors are committed to continually improving the community, and people are friendly. The city does an excellent job of keeping parks and public spaces nice, and they've recently done a better job of revitalizing commercial areas. We're (finally) seeing new businesses move in after we elected new city leadership. There are still some half-vacant, low-rent strip centers that will hopefully come back to life or be replaced. Public services are phenomenal compared to surrounding areas. Police and code enforcement are each hated by some, but it’s because they take their jobs seriously. The location is convenient, with access to 635, the North Tollway, 35E, the Bush Turnpike, and the DART rail. We have the most reasonably-priced homes in the north Dallas area, and a variety of types: high-end custom homes, condos, new master-planned areas, well-kept homes built in the 50s and 60s, and houses with "potential" on nice streets.
