Current Resident: Fleming Island is the perfect town for those who enjoy quaint and comfortable living. Scenery throughout "the Island" is beautiful and always kept trimmed. Current Resident: I have lived here 21 years. We bought our home for safety from weather related issues (hurricanes, floods, winds), and space, and easy access to elsewhere. I am off 218 & Blanding, N. Dolphin area. It is country quiet. In Clay County, in order to have well and septic, you must have at least 1 acre, ours is 1.35 acres. Neighbors are nice, quiet. Nobody bothers you. Quite happy where we are at! Close to Orange Park, Fleming Island, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville or the highways to elsewhere in this state. Weather is nice. Current Resident: Amazing neighbors and neighborhoods that take pride in their appearance, especially for the holidays! Crosswater Halloween and a Christmas events are epic. Current Resident: It's a small community of suburban neighborhoods and its nice because the community comes to when there's anything going on from emergency contact to community festival. There's schools walking distance, a very popular local park, and a new addition to the community is the corn maze/fall festival during the autumn season. I've grown up in this community and I love ever since, I have friends walking distance, and I never felt in danger walking or running around the area. Current Resident: Green Cove Springs is a small city in Clay County Florida with a unique history and beautiful surroudnings. Our Spring Park is a popular spot for people to visit where there is a spring fed pool with staffed lifegruards during the summer. It was recently renovated and has a splash pad and a safe viewing of the original spring from where the water feeds to the pool. The park iteself is on the St. John's river and has gorgeous views and a pier to fish off of. Green Cove Springs has lots of family events held regularly in town such as Fodd Truck Fridays, 3rd Saturday market inteh park and fesitvals on the water. Current Resident: The overall experience I have had in orange park is amazing and eye opening. The town of orange park has grown so much over all the years I have lived here, and it keeps growing every single day. In orange park there are many places to visit and have many hobbies. Current Resident: Would like to see more late-night spots. But, overall a great place to raise a family, the beach is always a great place to be. The poles in Mayport is a pretty good surf spot, so grateful for that. Public school system could use some work as well. Duval County can be unreliable and my swim season was shut down and we could not compete at Districts with everyone else. The weather does get annoying with how much it fluctuates, but we have a lot of pretty sunrises and sunsets. I am confident in saying that the beaches have very well trained life guards and is a great place to go and have fun. A lot of friendly people, at the beach there is a good community and you can usually go around and see plenty of people that you know. In the winter time, Deck The Chairs is a awesome place to go, whether you have kids or your a teenager. The lights are amazing and there really is a great feeling of community and holiday cheer. Current Resident: Neptune Beach is a very family friendly town with no buildings over two stories. It is a very safe neighborhood where most people know their neighbors. There are many dining options from casual to upscale. The beach is beautiful with plenty of fishing available. The views of the sunrises are exceptional with many joggers on the beach at sunrise. The town is very pet friendly with a great dog park available to the public. Our city council members actually listen to what to people of the town want . Our police department is very good and the police do not have an attitude problem. They are really there to serve and to protect our community. Current Resident: The Town of Callahan is a four stop light town with a community overflowing with joy and unity. When I first transferred from a Duval school district to a Nassau school district I was astonished by the difference of overall togetherness and harmony. Whether when we came together to pay for Trent Fort's (football player for WNHS) medical bills and funeral, to the homecoming parade where floats were hauled down the streets. This small town is supportive and caring for not only the neighbors living next door, but to the neighboring towns just a few miles away. Current Resident: Loved growing up in St.Augustine beach! The culture, food, beach, and history just can’t be beat! Check out the local favorites like Kookaburra & Taco Shop. Afterwards, visit our historic downtown on St. George street. There’s a fun (but more chill) night life as well. Live music pretty much every night. Current Resident: I truly have experienced all of Fernandina Beach. I have done years K-12 at the elementary, middle, and high school. I've participated in everything from the Annual Shrimp Festival to the Annual Shrimp Drop for New's Years Eve. I been to all the corners of this town. I can tell you all memories staying up late in deep conversations at the beach or the boat docks at the end of 14th street, which is a personal favorite for mine to go read my poetry. My favorite memories in Fernandina are the parades and the home football games at my high school, Fernandina Beach High School. Everyone from police officers, to neighbors, to teachers keep us safe here. We all look out for each other and have each other's back. Although, I would like to see more town participation in cleaning up the beach. One big event we do here is letting rehabilitated sea turtles back into the ocean.
