Current Resident: Most of the reviews are not current. In the past few years the downtown is full of new business's , housing is booming and most definitely the best small town in Georgia to live. Access is Interstate 575 with express lanes to Atlanta make it very convenient and fast. We are 5 miles to all the shopping you want, Walmart, Publix and fast food. Current Resident: Senoia is a small town, that is what is the great thing about it! There is not a lot of chaotic traffic or noise. The main street has several locally owned stores and restaurants; one of them is owned by an actor from The Walking Dead! The community here is great and has a lot of activities: the farmer's market, the car show, memorial day fireworks, and many more community activities. One thing I do not like about Senoia is that is it beginning to become less rural and more urban. Current Resident: I love this small town. It’s small and welcoming; we have a Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and two dollar general stores for convenience. We also have plenty of restaurants including; Subway, McDonald’s, Arby’s, Wendy’s, Popeyes, KFC/Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dairy Queen, and more. Current Resident: There are many things amazing about Sugar Hill! For one, we've had a lot of new development in the past 7 years like the building of our Town Hall, a park, and stores in that area.This new development has brought more people to uor area and caused the development to skyrocket in speed. Instead of having to drive 20 minutes out of town to go and hang out with a friend, we now can drive (or even walk!) 5 minutes away and have a day of fun. Additionally, Sugar Hill is extremely clean; there's never debris on the road, trash or litter on the sidewalks or road. Anything tossed gets picked up as soon as possible as if it were never there. he Sugar Hill cmomunirt is tight-knit due to it being a branch of Buford, georgia, but now that it's growing into it's own, it is more concentrated in schools, work and even neighborhoods. one thing I'd like to change is for there to be a bus system in my town. Current Resident: Amazing oasis just outside the perimeter. Safe, quiet, incredible sense of community, abundant parks, school system that has proven strong for 30+ years. Walk to schools, multiple parks, library, aquatic center, and grocery stores! 5 minute trip to Stone Mountain Park. No walkable nightlife to speak of, but that's where the drawbacks stop. Current Resident: Johns Creek is a beautiful, welcoming community that is perfect for families. There are a variety of places to eat, shop, and play! Niche User: Though I grew up in a neighborhood setting, I am not blind to the happenings of other areas throughout my city. I know that due to sense of disparity, there are individuals who may steal, lie, or cheat for money. However, throughout the last several years, the number of welfare program and service agencies have exponentially grown. These groups strive to not only provide food and shelter to families, but also to put good people to work so that they can be independent and active members of society. I myself have participated in amazing events such as food drives, clothes drives, and Habitat for Humanity buildings. These activities show those who are scared that people in the community want to help them, and decrease the prevelance of crimes. Current Resident: I love Alpharetta! It's a great place for all ages of people, from infants, toddlers, and children, all the way to adults and elderly citizens. It is a very safe, friendly community that is very inclusive despite its diversity. There are many parks and recreational areas around for sports, walking, and trails. Current Resident: I love the size of the town, it is small, quaint, feels safe and has an old fashioned sense of small town charm. I love the public schools, which treat the students more like a private school than a public school; the teachers and faculty know all the students by name, they are involved in the education process as more than just teachers doing a job, they share in the joys of our childrens' achievements. Current Resident: Living in Woodstock, Georgia is an overall an amazing experience for anyone who seeks out easy living, and calm days. Current Resident: I like the environment of Snellville because I feel very safe. I would like to see more resources and money allocated towards South Gwinnett High School and Shiloh High School, both of which are severly neglected in comparison to Brookwood High School. They have inadequate resources for students and do not encourage their teachers to thrive. Both schools also have negative environments with violence and threats occuring frequently. Former Resident: I lived in Berkeley Lake for thirty years it is absolutely one of the finest communities in America. Berkeley Lake has a city charter with a Mayor and city council so the city is able to better control it’s destiny. Current Resident: Tyrone is a cute town that houses a variety of many local businesses to occupy your time in. The quaint town also has a lot of greenery and open land which is great for people that love the outdoors or just want to take an afternoon stroll. Downtown Tyrone also has golf cart paths that connect to a larger town called Peachtree City. These paths provide an easy access to many other restaurants, stores, and amazing golf courses, all without needing a car! The only thing I would change about Tyrone is it houses many conservatives that voice their white supremacist ideals with large confederate flags and signs that read "All Lives Matter." Current Resident: I live in Peachtree City and it is a great place to start a family and raise your kids. The school system is superb as McIntosh High School acceding in their academics and many sports. This golf community contains around 100 miles of golf cart paths around the entire city. Kids are able to attain their driving permit at age 15 and drive the golf carts by themselves (as they have to wait till they're 16 to take their driver's test). But, ages 15 and up all use golf carts. You can get to your home, favorite restaurant, go shopping, or go golfing! There are many lakes in Peachtree City as well. Current Resident: Powder Springs has that quaint little town feel. There are festivals & events that happen every year. There is a large amount of greenery around (both in the suburbs and downtown). You can get scenic drives to work with the occasional farm animals that are nearby and around. There's also a small history museum that has information about the past of the town. There's a fair bunch of churches if that's your kind of interest. Be warned though, there is a railroad that is fairly active in the town square (especially during early commuting hours). There's a decent-sized recreational park. Last i'd been, there were baseball fields, track fields and a newer playground where the swimming pool used to be. There is a blend of more liberal and traditional conservative types. There is a bit of a down side that a very small minority can be a bit discriminatory. Current Resident: My first year in Suwanee, Georgia has been an enjoyable experience. What I enjoy, are all the diverse cafe's like Cafe Mixx or Caffe Bean. There are many diverse grocery shops that are accessible everywhere in the city like H-Mart, Suwanee Bazar, or just your local sprouts. The have shops accessible all around, and yummy restaurants that serve gourmet. Suwanee is full of diverse food, shops, and people. Usually going out somewhere fun is hard because it's hard to find a nice place, or its too far.
