Current Resident: Living in Southlake is very nice and is the epitome of the basic upper middle class and higher class suburban. I like the town's diversity and acceptance of others. There is a lot to do including many shopping centers, restaurants, and town events. There is a lot of town spirit and support for schools and sports teams. I like that the whole town comes out for Friday night lights and high school football even if you don't know anyone playing you are there to cheer on the Dragons. Another great thing about Southlake is the cleanliness and attention to detail on every holiday. The whole city decorates and lights up during the holiday season and is very celebratory of all holidays including Christmas, Hanuka, and Holi Festival. One thing I would like to see improved is the overall kindness of the town and law enforcement. Law enforcement is rarely available. Current Resident: Lakeside is a small town, but is in great proximity to Fort Worth -- only a quick 15 minute drive to the downtown area. All of the essential stores and restaurants needed are even closer, a 5 minute drive to Lake Worth. Because of Lakeside's proximity, it's the best of the countryside directly east, the lake directly south, and the city directly west. Current Resident: Growing up in Kennedale Texas with my little sister was fun and filled with lots of excitement! My sister and I are 18 months apart, but we act as if we're best friends. We both played basketball throughout our school years and traveled often once we hit high school. With majority of the funds and tax paying dollars going towards the football team, it made it hard to make sure we as the girls basketball team had transportation and supplies for road trips. Current Resident: Living in Keller, TX as a college senior is pretty chill. It's a safe, suburban area with great coffee shops for late-night study sessions and parks for weekend hangouts. Being close to Fort Worth, you've got a nice mix of quiet suburbia and big city vibes. You probably wouldn't know the exact stats, but you'd definitely feel the affluence around you. As for college, Tarrant County College is a solid choice nearby. It's affordable and has a pretty liberal admission policy, so getting in isn't a headache. Class sizes are decent too, so you can expect some good interaction with professors. You might also know some folks who go to University of North Texas in Denton, another great school not too far away. All in all, Keller's a pretty good spot for a college senior. Current Resident: I’ve really enjoyed living in Watauga, it is a very small suburb of Fort Worth. The whole town is approximately 5 square miles in size. You can get from one end of town to the other in about 8 minutes. Once you’ve learned the back streets you can avoid the busy road that leads to the main highway. Watauga is fairly a close knit community and most of us tend to look out for each other. Of course there are those rebellious, up to no good, self serving folks that look the other way but every town has that. You always know who to avoid here. Current Resident: Haslet is just like any old town, from the snobby rich kids bragging about their parents money to anyone in their reach, to the people scrubbing floors in a fast food restaurant just to help fund themselves for the latest new shoes. It's a pretty basic town that doesn't grab the interest of many peeking in, but once you're settled here you feel stuck in a ways. For instance you may want to leave and move to a more desirable location, but you feel yourself stuck in it's "homey" ways. Take that as your may interpret, for some it could be good and others could be their worst nightmare. Some days I wish I could take a breathe outside of this stuffed town. Some days I wish I could just soak in the heat that absorbs our attention and dreamy eyes. And as you can probably tell, our brains get fried from just the thought of it. Current Resident: This city is well put together. There are some cons but the pros outnumber them. This city has arguably one of the best public schools in the Dallas area. A few cons are the traffic. It gets really bad from 6:30 am to roughly 9:00 am then again from 2:30 pm (high school traffic) to nearly 7 pm. The traffic gets really bad during football games. One pro is that there is a good variety of restaurants and grocery stores to go to. Mansfield is also the center point between Dallas and Forth Worth. They are both about 30 minutes from Mansfield. Their neighborhoods are safe, take note there are the occasional minor crimes like speeding cars and stuff. This city is VERY diverse. Current Resident: I've lived here in Saginaw for about 16 years. It's a quickly developing area with lots of character everywhere you look. The giant grain towers are a staple of the area, but so are the trains. The train tracks are the only reason I wouldn't put 5 stars because it's not too uncommon to get stuck by a train when driving around near Mainstreet. Current Resident: North Richland Hills is a wonderful community to grow up in. The town is full of friendly faces that you run into everywhere. It's the kind of town that you can walk into your local coffeeshop and say hi to everyone there. We have many town events where everyone comes to celebrate together. The one thing I would like to see change in my community would be better preservation of the natural areas. Our community is growing fast so most of the greenery has been cleared to build new apartments and houses. That being said, we have an abundance of parks with trees and hiking trails. Our fire and police department are just as involved in the community as any other citizen. Because of this, our town is very trusting in those who enforce safety. Our schools thrive on the friendly rivalry between it's students that allows everyone to make friends from all over the city. Current Resident: I like it better here than the northern dfw suburbs. There is more character, mature trees, larger yards, and diverse architecture as far as houses go. It’s more walkable here, you’ll actually see people out and about walking to places or exercising. The schools are good and there is a lot of stuff for kids to do. We are a bit lacking in the nature dept, like all of north texas, which is why I am giving 4 stars. The central location in the metroplex provides access to a multitude of employers. There are several colleges within commuting distance as well. We are very close to DFW airport and right in between Dallas and Fort Worth, which gives us a lot of entertainment options. The population ranges from working class to upper middle class. The community is diverse and pretty down to earth. Overall I enjoy living here. A small town feel in the middle of a huge metroplex.... Current Resident: Euless is a small town with lots of undeveloped areas and older buildings. At a retail and industrial perspective, it may not have too much to offer, but it dies present many opportunities for businesses to move in and set up shop. But from a community perspective, the neighborhoods are middle range cost, quiet and there are good schools and great churches in the area. Current Resident: Edgecliff Village is a small community in Tarrant County that is established and yet still developing. Although there are many older homes, new ones are currently being built, along with new schools developing in the area. The location is convenient because it provides access to many freeways. As far as diversity; Edgecliff is constantly growing and has become more of a melting pot where you are guaranteed to see all ethnicities throughout the neighborhoods. It is also likely to find a wide range of ages living in the homes. There are small trails people can walk to maintain an active lifestyle, as well as a community pool and playground for leisure. Due to the pandemic there are a lot of businesses hiring right now which means it is relatively easy to find a job depending on what a candidate may be looking for. Nearby Resident: It's the best tiny city in the state of Texas! Everman is a small city right outside of Fort Worth, TX with a population just over 6,000. I've lived in the Everman/Fort Worth area for roughly a year and a half and I've enjoyed it very much. The only thing that's not to like is the summer heat. However, Everman isn't the only city that struggles with it; just about all of Texas deals with the heat. It's a small city, as mentioned previously, with many nice people around.
