Current Resident: I find Collingswood to be a swanky place. Its kind of like the old English teacher who wears long skirts with varying patchwork, sandals, and reads thrid wave feminist poetry in her garden she has with her "partner", or like those people you find in Colorado or such. I moved here this summer from the neighboring town, Haddon Township, and before that Haddon Heights. Comparatively, Collingswood is vastly different. With its swagger, population of 30 year-old hipsters with their young children, murals--essentially a Portland of smaller value. Again, this isn't nothing bad, it's the truth. I much prefer the farmer's market, the streets lined with pride flags and "Black Lives Matter" signs, small self-owned business with their quirks. However, having lived in the neighboring towns, I can see the wealth gap as the dividing factor. All in all, Collingswood, with its unique attitude, grants me this quasi-liberal-topia....
