Current Resident: I've lived in Dripping Springs my whole life and overall it's a great place to be! However, sports are a HUGE deal here and the community can get pretty toxic. Also, I know lots of people who have had bad experiences with crazy parents and kids in the area. The schools are great though and have taught me a lot. Current Resident: I love this town! I live in the suburban area, There are so many things to do, we are close to lakes (Lake Travis, Lake LBJ, Lake Austin, etc) and we are close to Kalahari (The largest indoor waterpark). We also have several schools in our district that are very highly educated and diverse. The weather here is very beautiful, it can be really hot, but better than cold/icy. We are close to the malls, like the Domain and Barton Creek Mall, which have a very large selection of items compared to smaller malls. The only con I would say related to Round Rock is that there aren't many things to do that don't cost money. There aren't many pretty views, mostly flat land, or cliffs that drop to lakes. The cost of living is going up daily, and the population continues to grow. I love this town though, and I wouldn't trade growing up in it for anything.... Read 431 reviews

Current Resident: Overall pleasant! A lot of people around, most tend to walk and you defiantly see a mixed group of people. The only problem is that there is not a lot of people of color who live in this area. Now, there is some, but not a lot compared to the San Marcos and Austin area. But that is to be expected because of the area. If you are looking for the more diverse area, maybe look at the people around at stores or restaurants. Current Resident: I just purchased a home by Bratton Park (I’m one of the many Californians that moved to Austin,) and absolutely love the community feel of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is very safe. The location is also very convenient; only 4.5 miles from the Domain, 5 miles to the Tech Corridor (Apple campus,) and 16 miles from downtown Austin with a CapMetro train available just a mile from my house. I would like to see Georgetown lean more into its recreational activities and improve upon outdoor activities. Current Resident: I've recently moved to Kyle Texas this past year. Kyle is actively growing and expanding due to many companies moving to Austin as of late. I'll admit my experience with Jack C. Hays High school in the Hays district isn't the best. The school has amazing school spirit, but the overall quality is poor. Not only this, but the city isn't built for the amount of people moving here. Each and every morning, the traffic is terrible due to school. Even without school being active, the traffic can be absurd at times such as during rush hours or lunch times. Kyle Texas isn't bad, but it isn't exactly the best place to be either!... Current Resident: Moving from Washington DC to Wimberly TX is a big jump. Wimberly is a very small town with a lot of charm! This town certainly took some adjusting. I do wish the town was a bit bigger but it is certainly growing! We get many tourist year round. We have 2 high schools and one middle and elementary school. To me that is very surprising because i am use to seeing many schools. I do enjoy how much land everyone has and being able to live far out from the noise of the town square. I do miss the city because every store and restaurant was a 5-10 minute drive and now it is more like 20-45 minutes but overall i wouldn’t go back to the city.
