Current Resident: I rate my neighborhood a 3 because you do family dynamics that make the neighborhood feel safer. the neighbors look out for each other and I am friends and get along well with all of them. there are a few rent houses though, and people are constantly moving in and out of them it seems every few months or so. this is not something that would make me move out of the neighborhood, and overall I think that the neighborhood is very friendly. one of the things that I do not care for is that there are some people who drive extremely fast down the streets and we have quite a few children who play in the streets and in their yards. there is also a school right down the street from my house and I fear that one of these children may get hit someday by these few reckless drivers we have.... I felt like no matter where my kids were, someone I knew had their eyes on my kids and that was reassuring. The schools are excellent and the teachers are wonderful! We have the Kiddie Park for the little kids, The Rock & Boys & Girls Club & KLife or all ages. Plenty of churches and civic activities to choose from as well as historical places such as the Frank Phillips Mansion & Woolaroc. Two public swimming pools, lots of parks including 2 dog parks. As we grow we are adding more restaurants and shopping. It's a great place to live! Owasso is only 30 minutes, Tulsa is less than an hour and the Tulsa International Airport is 55 minutes away. It's a small close-knit community with very passionate people and a sense of family that's pretty hard to get anywhere else. I've lived here my entire life and I wouldn't want it any other way. It makes me a little sad to leave this small town one day but if you're planning on moving here with kids, our school system has some of the best staffing ever. All of the teachers here are so incredibly passionate about helping their students not only learn the material, but they're passionate about teaching them to become wonderful and respectful adults. A small town like Stigler doesn't have much to do, but we have our little main street with two stop lights and our classic Time Theatre with all of the new movies rotating through!
