Current Resident: We have lived in Town and Country for close to 12 years. We love the feel of being removed from the hustle and bustle, but in reality on a few minutes away. Location is wonderful for reaching other parts of Saint Louis. The schools have been good for our children. There is a push for walking trails throughout the town and an encouragement for outdoor exercising. We have wonderful county parks just a few minutes away. You are bound to run into people you know whenever you are out and about and even though it is a big city, there is a small town feel.... Read 12 reviews

Former Resident: I was born and raised in Creve Coeur. It was a nice suburb to grow up in. Olive Street takes up the whole area mainly. The neighborhoods there are very nice, but very expensive for no reason. The people aren’t friendly. They are pretty stuck up and all think they’re better than each other. They aren’t very welcoming of outsiders. If you’re looking for an upper middle class area to raise your family and you are from the area then you will probably love it. The schools are very good, the education your children will receive will be amazing. My experience in the Parkway School District was amazing and I’m grateful to have gone there.... Read 51 reviews

Current Resident: Ladue is a beautiful place to live. It seems like a forest in the middle of St. Louis. I often have deer and owls lounging in my backyard— even though I’m 5 minutes from Clayton and 15 minutes from downtown. Ladue High School is (in my biased opinion) the best public school in St. Louis. The area is safe, quiet at night, and surrounded by many things to do (such as Forest Park, downtown Saint Louis, midtown, WASHU campus, downtown Clayton, and much more) I moved to Ladue from another suburb in Saint Louis, and I could not be more happy with where I live!... Current Resident: Chesterfield is a very nice neighborhood! The people around here are friendly and it's a great place to raise a family. The neighboring schools are an amazing place to get a quality education. You're close enough to the city of St. Louis but in a quiet enough area. Current Resident: I love the small town living atmosphere, yet being in the heart of the big city. Best of all is the recreational lake that provides the community a commonality for togetherness. The city of Weatherby Lake (2000 people )is only 15 minutes from downtown, 25 minutes to the Plaza and 10 minutes to the airport. The school district is top notch, Park Hill and Has its ow police and mayor form of government. It is less than 30 minutes from Pembroke school as well... Read 6 reviews

Current Resident: I've really liked how it's a fairly tight knit community full of traditions. I enjoy having traditions like the annual football game against Webster every Thanksgiving, and the Greentree festival and parade every September. I enjoy walking in the downtown area and seeing all of the stores, bakeries, and restaurants as well. I've always enjoyed going to the library for books or the farmers market for local produce. One thing that should be changed is Big Bend Road, especially in the stretch from Couch Avenue to Geyer Road. It desperately needs to be repaved.... Read 62 reviews

Current Resident: The town itself is a lively place to live during the summer months. As the falls months come the tourists leave and so do many of the local jobs. The people tend to be friendly, but in the last two years, there has been more than one hate-related crime committed. Not diverse in the slightest. Parent: While the St. Louis area has suffered recently, the Kirkwood area continues to be a great "small town" feeling. Former Resident: It's a small town. There's no obvious public transportation. Funding for the town is low. It's a cute town, and there are some neat places for people who are interested in history. Those places include: court house, Fort Davison/ Battle of Pilot Knob (the reenactment is neat). Then, Johnson's Shut-Ins and Taum Sauk are about 30 minutes away, but pretty for those who like nature. Fort Davison has a nice fireworks show at the fort. There's nice hiking. There's also a train stop, which is neat. A lot of people like the BBQ Battle. Also, the Fall Festival Parade is a unique thing for the town, that is a really big deal. The drive is nice, and it's a pretty place. There's nice food and little shops you can stop at on main street.... Read 4 reviews

Current Resident: I love the sense of togetherness that Ballwin brings. There are plenty of community events that really makes one’s experience feel much closer to the people around them. Most of the people that live in this area love that they live there, and I think that is an important characteristic of the population in a town. Another nice point is that it is very diverse and growing rapidly. Regardless of one’s background, they will find that fitting in is very simple. I would like to see change in the actual structure of the city of Ballwin. There are so many instances where people get hurt because of others’ poor actions, but it is definitely prominent in the driving skills of the Ballwin community. Roads are typically pretty crowded, and drivers aren’t nice enough to let one merge lanes. Driving becomes almost a competition in Ballwin. Other than that, it is a very nice area, and I’ve enjoyed the people and experiences from here.... Read 109 reviews
