Current Resident: Dutch Island is a family friendly neighborhood nestled amongst the winding rivers and creekbesds of the Lowcountry. Wildlife such as eagles, red fox, deer, osprey, and otters live in a peaceful accord with their human neighbors. Social activities center around the community dock, pool, and commuity area. Each year, neighbors gather for an annual Fourth of July parade and celebration at the pool, local band parties at the community area, Christmas light contest, Easter egg hunt complete with a visit from the Easter bunny, annual crabbing tournament, and Christmas open house with local vendors. Current Resident: Very diverse and accepted community with amazing schools. The architecture is extremely varied - there is a house here for any taste. Neighbors are friendly and helpful and everyone is out walking and enjoying the area and the frequent social events like fireworks, pig roasts, and festivals. House prices are reasonable and there are a variety of quality school options including The Museum School, Waldorf, Montessori, and The Friends School. Current Resident: Saint Simons Island is an amazing beach town with great food, golfing, and biking options. While the beach itself isn't the most beautiful, riding a bike around the island is always pretty, There are also great lookout spots if you know where to go! Current Resident: Phenomenal location! Close to everything of interest to our young family of four (i.e., restaurants, parks, library, grocery stores, etc). Our daughter attends preschool at Clairmont Presbyterian, and we love it. The ethnicities are quite diverse here, and everyone is cordial to one another. Niche User: To grow up and live 5 minutes from a beach for 18 years is the greatest experience. To have a back river or waterway accessible to me for fishing, boating, or swimming has given me the best childhood possible. The weather is perfect, although very hot during the summer, and frigid during the winter, Talahi Island is an extremely quiet and friendly place to start a family. In the last 5 years this island has grown, with the building of a new high school and the opening of a new middle school. Berkeley Lake has a city charter with a Mayor and city council so the city is able to better control it’s destiny. Current Resident: Otherwise known as "The Bubble", Peachtree City is a great town for future children, parents, and retirees. The schools of PTC are some of the best and provide great academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs. One of these schools includes McIntosh High School, one of the best academic high schools not just in the state of Georgia, but in the nation. The surroundings are also a great place to grow up. Current Resident: Lovely suburb of Savannah, Ga. Right next to the booming city of Pooler, GA. I have lived in Bloomindale right outside of Pooler for about 4 years now, prior to that I lived in Pooler for about 6 years. Both Bloomingdale and Pooler are great places to live and anyone would be lucky to snag any real estate here. Current Resident: I love the small community. Everyone helps each other out , no matter the situation. I enjoy that everything is close by, whether is groceries or a dental office. It doesn’t take an hour to get your groceries. The beautiful mountains surrounding sets a fresh and clean vibe. There are two private schools and one public schools , so the opportunity for the you get generation to grow is infinite. There are diverse options in regards to choices for homes. Current Resident: I love living in Ellijay and getting to enjoy all it has to offer. The fall is so beautiful here and the community has so many fun events. Things in downtown do close relatively early, and the tourism means weekends in the fall especially are super busy, but when it comes to enjoying the outdoors you can’t beat it. Downtown is super walkable with free parking and multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries. It’s also so close to Blue Ridge and Metro Atlanta, it’s like getting the best of both worlds.... Current Resident: Tyrone is a cute town that houses a variety of many local businesses to occupy your time in. The quaint town also has a lot of greenery and open land which is great for people that love the outdoors or just want to take an afternoon stroll. Downtown Tyrone also has golf cart paths that connect to a larger town called Peachtree City. These paths provide an easy access to many other restaurants, stores, and amazing golf courses, all without needing a car! The only thing I would change about Tyrone is it houses many conservatives that voice their white supremacist ideals with large confederate flags and signs that read "All Lives Matter."
