Current Resident: Pike Creek is an awesome area! One of the safest places in DE if you check crime maps and very centrally located. The landscape is gorgeous and open with rolling hills and four full seasons. There are tons of walking, biking, hiking trails in the area. White Clay Creek state park is walkable from my house, but also nearby to Middle Run, Newark Reservoir, Paper Mill Park, and plenty more. There's a bike trail that will take you directly to main street Newark in 4 miles. We are close to University of Delaware, but far enough to have some quiet. Lots of homes here are on 1/2 acre. The food in Delaware is average compared to other states. For groceries, you can make the drive to Trader Joes, Costco, and there is supposed to be a Wegmans coming, but no idea when. Proximity wise, Kennett square and Longwood Gardens PA just 15 minutes away. Trolley Square Wilmington 20 minutes away. We have different play parks for kids and for pets as well. I would like to see people gather around and start collections or donations. Current Resident: Moved here into the town center over 3 years ago and have not regretted it. It is a very pretty place at the head of the Broadkill River filled with lovely antique houses. There are events year-round (especially in the summer), public parks, a library, a local museum, restaurants, shops, and a theater. You can boat on Wagamons Pond or on the Broadkill. Current Resident: My experience while living in Dover has been amazing. I was born and raised in Dover so I’ve pretty much been here my whole life. I like that everything is local such as the mall, grocery stores and even restaurants! I also like the fact that I am in a safe town. Often times we see the news and we see the tremendous thing that are going on in this country. But i can assure you that Dover is safe and is very blessed. Although it has its perks, I would like to see change in the kids of stores we have.
