Winston Preparatory School - New York
Parent: my son attended 7th grade through 12th, graduated and is flourishing in college where he just made Deans List. He has ADHD, Aspergers, dyslexia and dysgraphia, and couldn't write an essay, take proper notes, or keep track of tests and homework when he started. He was bullied in public school, and had low self esteem. He left with real organizational skills, note taking skills , self confidence and introspection. The teachers are caring, understanding and committed to the students' success. The curriculum delivered needed services without the kids even realizing it. He had a great experience, made lots of friends, and created long lasting bonds with his teachers with whom he still communicates. I was impressed with the literature choices, the way classes encouraged kids to explore difficult topics and maybe learn about themselves, and the approach toward behavioral bumps in the road. All in all a great experience for my son and us.
