Senior: What made my school positively stand out from others were the teachers and environment. Everyone in general was very kind, especially since respecting and uplifting others was part of the honor policy. The teachers at my school genuinely cared about the students. Not only did they care about the student's academic performance, but for their physical/mental health as well. Every teacher I interacted with would gladly take time out of their day to help me with school work outside of class, or simply ask me how my day was. Parent: I have one alum and two middle schools sons at Lowell. The younger two started in Kindergarten and the oldest in third after attending our local public elementary school. Although my sons are completely different, Lowell has managed to understand and bring out the best in each of them. My oldest, the quiet introvert at public school, was completely brought out of his shell and is now a confident 10th grader. Lowell taught him self advocacy. My younger two have been encouraged to use their over abundance of self-confidence to boost other children up. Thanks to Lowell, they are empathetic leaders. Lowell has helped me parent my boys to be their best selves -- confident yet kind, thoughtful and public-spirited. Parent: We have had an amazing experience at Burgundy! Our daughter loves school and we find it to be a great balance of both independence and structure to help her flourish. The teachers are wonderful and focus on the whole child with education that includes academic, emotional and social development. It is a strong community that is supportive of students and families. We love how the curriculum ties into areas of interest for the children and helps to build lifelong love of learning and appreciation for the world around them. They are able to enjoy a lot of time learning in nature on their beautiful campus. We can't imagine being anywhere else for the K-8 experience.... Read 11 reviews
