Current Resident: Wilder is an upscale suburban neighborhood with a reputation for safety and proximity to stores, universities, parks, and restaurants. The houses are large and comfortable, if expensive, and in the summer, the air often smells of honeysuckles. Although Wilder is not as rural as I would prefer, a wooded creek at the bottom of a hill makes for a good escape from the noise and lights. If I could change one thing about Wilder, I would change the inhabitants’ tolerance of pets. Although some neighbors are unusually friendly and have even invited my family to use their pool, others have called the police because our dogs, which were inside an electric fence and causing no harm, were barking. We have also had multiple complaints concerning our outdoor cat, who is the best behaved cat I have ever met. Overall, Wilder is an excellent neighborhood for someone wanting a short commute and an elegant home.... Read 7 reviews
