Current Resident: Pike Creek is an awesome area! One of the safest places in DE if you check crime maps and very centrally located. The landscape is gorgeous and open with rolling hills and four full seasons. There are tons of walking, biking, hiking trails in the area. White Clay Creek state park is walkable from my house, but also nearby to Middle Run, Newark Reservoir, Paper Mill Park, and plenty more. There's a bike trail that will take you directly to main street Newark in 4 miles. We are close to University of Delaware, but far enough to have some quiet. Lots of homes here are on 1/2 acre. The food in Delaware is average compared to other states. For groceries, you can make the drive to Trader Joes, Costco, and there is supposed to be a Wegmans coming, but no idea when. Proximity wise, Kennett square and Longwood Gardens PA just 15 minutes away. Trolley Square Wilmington 20 minutes away. Amtrak Wilmington can take you to NYC or DC in under 2 hours (check out the Acela line).... Read 19 reviews

BE AWARE! Niche lists the correct year-round population of the incorporated City of Rehoboth Beach at somewhere around 1,500 - 1,750 residents. This area stretches roughly from the Atlantic Ocean in the East to a few blocks in from the eastern / northern border of Route 1, also known as Coastal Highway. The Southern border is “The Forgotten Mile,” a stretch of unincorporated Dewey Beach, which features many houses with 70-year land leases. The Northern Border is Henlopen Acres and North Shores. Current Resident: It's has the best community you can ask for theres so many kids in the neighborhood that play outside the president of the neighborhood all ways takes the kids to ice cream there's so many events like block partys to concerts on the parkway. Current Resident: Very diverse and welcoming. Central to almost everything and neighbors are amazing. Ive had my bike stolen out of my yard before and a neighbor 4 houses down who I wasn't extremely close with saw, immediately got in his truck and chased down the people who stole my bike, got it back, and returned it. For as long as I have lived here, there have always been tons other kids to play with. The kids my age were and still are very close. Current Resident: I moved to Camden Delaware in the summer of 2021 going into my junior year of high school. In the year and half I have been here I love the country aspect of it, the environment, the people, and the opportunities it brings. I have always been a small town person, because I enjoy a calm and quiet environment; and Camden brings that warm environment. The high school I currently attend has a great education system with nice staff and students. I also received employment during that summer at a grocery store. They hired me the same day on my interview, I appreciate the job opportunities for young teenagers that they have. The friendly residents of Camden of my coworkers and the customers made the job easier and less stressful. The only thing I would maybe change is more job opportunities to offer. Current Resident: Some areas are nice, but there is a lot of congestion during the school year since University of Delaware is a larger school. Students living on campus is common, so the summers die down greatly. The town/city is currently working to be more bike friendly, which is very exciting, and will hopefully get some people more active. There are great parks and trails nearby; my pup and I frequent them during the Spring, Summer and Fall. There are some libraries around, especially near campus, which is nice for studying (the one closest to campus will actually be undergoing a large renovation in the near future.) Current Resident: Claymont is very close to Delaware County, PA and to Wilmington, DE and is a great mid point for those that work in those areas. There are the benefits of living in Delaware (tax-free shopping) and the convenience of having so many stores nearby.
