Current Resident: I really liked how there were various spaces for many different things, such as: restaurants, parks, exercising areas, and much more. I have attended school here for a couple of years, and although moving here was a hassle, I didn't know anyone, and my family and I had a hard time finding spaces because it was very expensive. However, we still found it enjoyable to live here. I would like to see more community events, there are some held in parks, but not a lot of the neighbors know each other, and it would be a good way to help guide the community to something greater.... Current Resident: Chesterfield is a very nice neighborhood! The people around here are friendly and it's a great place to raise a family. The neighboring schools are an amazing place to get a quality education. You're close enough to the city of St. Louis but in a quiet enough area. There's beautiful wildlife around here as well, such as deer, cardinals, and even hawks. It's a perfect place to settle and start roots.... Read 138 reviews

Current Resident: I have lived here for 12 years. People are active and walking, riding, spending time outside. Prior to the pandemic we would have block parties and area food trucks would be in the neighborhood almost monthly. Many have returned multiple times. Young families are staying and supporting the school district. Older residents without children or children out of school have shown support for bonds and other financial measures. There are new homes being built in a dwindling number of vacant lots or derelict homes.... Read 21 reviews

Current Resident: Ladue is a beautiful place to live. It seems like a forest in the middle of St. Louis. I often have deer and owls lounging in my backyard— even though I’m 5 minutes from Clayton and 15 minutes from downtown. Ladue High School is (in my biased opinion) the best public school in St. Louis. The area is safe, quiet at night, and surrounded by many things to do (such as Forest Park, downtown Saint Louis, midtown, WASHU campus, downtown Clayton, and much more) I moved to Ladue from another suburb in Saint Louis, and I could not be more happy with where I live!... Current Resident: Glendale is a small, family-friendly community that is a part of Webster and (majority) Kirkwood schools. Many of the small older homes are getting knocked down to build huge $700k+ four bedroom, three bath homes on these small lots. The community is great, especially if you have kids, but everyone who lives on my street looks the same as me, yet the schools try to push diversity by bussing in kids from the city, while in the long run Kirkwood really should be pushing and helping black and brown families move to the area.... Current Resident: I love the sense of togetherness that Ballwin brings. There are plenty of community events that really makes one’s experience feel much closer to the people around them. Most of the people that live in this area love that they live there, and I think that is an important characteristic of the population in a town. Another nice point is that it is very diverse and growing rapidly. Regardless of one’s background, they will find that fitting in is very simple. I would like to see change in the actual structure of the city of Ballwin. There are so many instances where people get hurt because of others’ poor actions, but it is definitely prominent in the driving skills of the Ballwin community. Roads are typically pretty crowded, and drivers aren’t nice enough to let one merge lanes. Driving becomes almost a competition in Ballwin. Other than that, it is a very nice area, and I’ve enjoyed the people and experiences from here.... Read 109 reviews

Current Resident: I've really liked how it's a fairly tight knit community full of traditions. I enjoy having traditions like the annual football game against Webster every Thanksgiving, and the Greentree festival and parade every September. I enjoy walking in the downtown area and seeing all of the stores, bakeries, and restaurants as well. I've always enjoyed going to the library for books or the farmers market for local produce. One thing that should be changed is Big Bend Road, especially in the stretch from Couch Avenue to Geyer Road. It desperately needs to be repaved.... Read 62 reviews

Current Resident: Born and raised here. Rockwood is a pretty great school system and I was college ready by the time I was done. I generally always feel safe in my neighborhood. Former Resident: I was born and raised in Creve Coeur. It was a nice suburb to grow up in. Olive Street takes up the whole area mainly. The neighborhoods there are very nice, but very expensive for no reason. The people aren’t friendly. They are pretty stuck up and all think they’re better than each other. They aren’t very welcoming of outsiders. If you’re looking for an upper middle class area to raise your family and you are from the area then you will probably love it. The schools are very good, the education your children will receive will be amazing. My experience in the Parkway School District was amazing and I’m grateful to have gone there.... Read 51 reviews

Current Resident: Overall, I believe that O’Fallon is an amazing community. It manages to provide access to a larger city such as St. Louis while simultaneously remaining insulated from the hustle and bustle of the city. For this reason specifically it is an amazing spot to raise children and start a family. While it may not be a booming metropolis, it certainly has a sense of charm to it and remains an excellent spot for those looking to settle down. The town is also incredibly welcoming for military families, as it is located quite closely to Scott Air Force Base and maintains a welcoming community of both current military members and retired ones who have chosen to settle down there. Overall, it is an amazing small town and can act as a nice, calming place for those looking to relax and settle down.... Read 119 reviews
