Current Resident: Hilton Head is an amazing place to be. I live here but see many tourists visting and enjoying their time. There are many different booking options like hotels, houses, apartments, and condos. The beaches are beautiful and stretch almost all the way around the island. There are many different bike rental companies here. Local businesses and restaurants are great to check out. Current Resident: Dutch Island is a family friendly neighborhood nestled amongst the winding rivers and creekbesds of the Lowcountry. Wildlife such as eagles, red fox, deer, osprey, and otters live in a peaceful accord with their human neighbors. Social activities center around the community dock, pool, and commuity area. Each year, neighbors gather for an annual Fourth of July parade and celebration at the pool, local band parties at the community area, Christmas light contest, Easter egg hunt complete with a visit from the Easter bunny, annual crabbing tournament, and Christmas open house with local vendors. Current Resident: It is such a beautiful place to live. The weather is nice and always sunny. Even on the rainy days it’s not a bad day. The people are polite and you feel like you can relax here. It’s like a vacation everyday. There is always something to do and the community is always active. There are yummy food shops. My favorite is loco pie! It’s a pizza place and boy do I love pizza. Bluffton is not too far from the beach, so it’s nice to be able to visit whenever you would like. My favorite part about bluffton is how it is growing. The town is waking up. There is a mini golf currently being built and I am excited for that to open up. It is going to be the new hot spot for kids. The bowling place is also fun to be at. They have food and they have an arcade. It is everything you could want and more here! Downtown bluffton has beautiful spots , it is nice to have quiet time by the May river. Niche User: Leaving in this area in Savannah was such a fun place to grow up. The fact that the neighborhood is on an island makes it even sweeter. Niche User: To grow up and live 5 minutes from a beach for 18 years is the greatest experience. To have a back river or waterway accessible to me for fishing, boating, or swimming has given me the best childhood possible. The weather is perfect, although very hot during the summer, and frigid during the winter, Talahi Island is an extremely quiet and friendly place to start a family. In the last 5 years this island has grown, with the building of a new high school and the opening of a new middle school. Current Resident: We are very new to Richmond Hill (3 months) but we are loving it so far. We are retired and love that we can drive into Savannah’s historic district in 20+ minutes whenever we want. We moved from northern SC after living there for only 3 years, because of the terrible crime rate there. We feel very safe in Richmond Hill. In addition to feeling safe, there are many conveniences in town: 3 supermarkets, several eateries, drug stores, hardware stores, boutique stores, nurseries, even a handmade chocolate shop. The town has some historical significance as it was founded by Henry Ford. There is a small history museum dedicated to that subject. If you are a boater, there are numerous ramps and places to enjoy the water as the Ogeechee River separates Richmond Hill from Savannah. Current Resident: Georgetown is a very peaceful, quiet, reserved place to live. My home is settled in the banks of Lake Eufala. The only thing I would change is the fact that there aren't many businesses & isn't much to do in town. Current Resident: Rincon is a fast-growing town. Most people move here for the school system. It has typical places to eat out but virtually no shopping locals; only Walmart. It is located about 30-40 minutes from Savannah when traffic is light. However, in the mornings and evenings, traffic is insanely congested. Current Resident: Montgomery, Georgia is a small county in where everyone knows everyone. There are acts of kindness every where. Any where you go, there are loads of people willing to give the shirt off their back to help the people they see in need. Although this is an amazing county, there are some things I would like to see change. I would like to start a group that would volunteer to help keep it clean. Current Resident: I live in a quaint community and have lived here my entire life. What I like most about Garden City, Georgia is that it is close to everything like Pooler and Savannah. Our neighborhood is established and you do not see a lot of neighbors moving in/out and rarely see houses for sale. We live very close to the private school I have attended since the age of 3 and that has been extremely helpful. Another important factor in staying in Garden City is that my Dad is literally across the street from his job, he works at the Georgia Ports Authority, which is very convenient.
