#7 Best Places to Live in Savannah Area
Richmond Hill
Current Resident: We are very new to Richmond Hill (3 months) but we are loving it so far. We are retired and love that we can drive into Savannah’s historic district in 20+ minutes whenever we want. We moved from northern SC after living there for only 3 years, because of the terrible crime rate there. We feel very safe in Richmond Hill.
In addition to feeling safe, there are many conveniences in town: 3 supermarkets, several eateries, drug stores, hardware stores, boutique stores, nurseries, even a handmade chocolate shop. The town has some historical significance as it was founded by Henry Ford. There is a small history museum dedicated to that subject.
If you are a boater, there are numerous ramps and places to enjoy the water as the Ogeechee River separates Richmond Hill from Savannah.
All told, the town is a really nice, clean, safe place to live!... Read 100 reviews
