Current Resident: Surfside Beach is a beautiful little town a short drive south of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It has mostly local businesses and plenty activities for visiting families. I'd recommend it for families with kids! With less traffic on the residential streets, close proximity to beach accesses & family environment its the perfect fit for most families. It has plenty of rental houses so coming with another family or group would help keep the costs low if you're trying to vacation here instead.

Current Resident: We love living in the Socastee area in Myrtle Beach, SC. We bought our home over a year ago and we’ve loved it. Our home backs up to a creek that leads to the waterway. It is very peaceful and quiet in our cul-de-sac and we have great neighbors. We are very happy with our location choice!

Current Resident: I’ve lived in Murrells Inlet for a little over a year. I moved from my hometown Atlanta, Georgia so this has been a very big adjustment for me and my family. My favorite thing about Murrells Inlet is being so close to the beach! However I attended a public school here, Saint James, for my senior year and it wasn’t the next experience because the school was extremely clicky and it was hard for me to make friends. Asides from the students here, the only thing I would like to see change here is making it more convenient for households to recycle. Back home in Atlanta when the trash men came to get the trash, more men would come later that same day to pickup our recycle. If recycling was easier to do we wouldn’t have to use those gross paper straws at restaurants.

Current Resident: I’d give Myrtle 5 stars but it’s not for everyone. However I’ve lived here 10 years and have enjoyed it. People need to realize crime is everywhere, and Myrtle just keeps growing. Crime is expected to rise. With that said I have never felt unsafe in Myrtle, that’s because I know the areas to avoid like any city. Myrtle Beach isn’t that small beach town people once knew (take it or leave it) I still think it’s a pretty laid back area when it comes to beach towns. Plenty of things to do for visitors and families. It’s all of what you make of it!

Current Resident: Conway is a quaint little town nessled 12 miles from Myrtle Beach S.C. We have an excellant real estate market. Plenty of work oppertunity. I serious doubt that you meet more friendly and hospitable people then those that live here. With our new highway system you can get any where from Georgetown S.C
to Little River S.C within 45 mins. It only takes about 15 min to get to the beach and lay out or take a walk. There is a wonderful night life not to mention plenty of shopping stores,malls and opportunity. Conway is just simply put a down to earth home town with plenty of opportunities for fishing, hunting, sports activities and healthy living. Y'all come!

Nearby Resident: North Myrtle beach is a excellent city. Great shopping centers. People are extremely friendly. Its close to a beautiful beach. Traffic is low during low tourist seasons. I very much recommend living around this area. Its a few minutes from a Myrtle beach. We love it here!

Current Resident: I've lived here since the day I was born. I have always loved my hometown. It's a bustling little fishing town where everyone knows each other and you're never far from good cooking. Casino boats, fishing boats and good seafood are never far away, either. Unfortunately the drug scene has gotten worse over the years and heroin is taking over just like it is everywhere else. I hope that it one day resolves and my sweet little fishing town is once more sweet.
