Current Resident: Lubbock has been the best city the past four years. Growing up I visited all the time because my little sister had doctors appointments at UMC. It was great back then, the people were always kind and went out of their way to make a good impression about the city. You won't find kinder people - even the college students working at "Spanky's". And now as a college student in the same city, I am still as impressed as I was a decade ago. In fact, a large reason for wanting to come to Texas Tech was because of how friendly people were. Furthermore, Lubbock is a foodie paradise, filled with great locally owned restaurants and franchise's. It is a perfect city with diverse groups of people - college students, country and city types, families and much more. It is guaranteed you will find your people in Lubbock. Current Resident: Wolfforth is a nice area. I have lived here for about 3 years and it's a safe town. Plenty of police surveying the area makes me feel secured. Also, my next-door neighbor is a cop. I go to Frenship High School, and I love it there. My brother goes to Bennett Elementary School, and he enjoys his education experience as well. An ideal environment to raise children or settle down. Current Resident: I have had a plenty of time to experience Floydada, as it is where I have been raised. It is a very good community who is close and friendly. As a result of being a small town it is easy to connect with neighbors and other within the community. The cost of living is also very affordable and job opportunities are easy to find. Being a rural community in West Texas, farmers are always in search of hiring farm hand to help raise and harvest crops. Living in Floydada made me feel same as the crime rate is low. Current Resident: Sundown has an excellent public school and a great community that bans together to support each other and the students that attend Sundown High School. Sundown is a school were mostly all students are in a sport or in multiple, but the kids are student athletes. The kids are students before they're athletes. School work and grades are more important to the teachers and coaches and that will always be a first before sports. Sundown High School prepares students for college and the real world. Past students always say they were beyond prepared for the college level and they were glad to attend and graduate from Sundown. The community and the people of Sundown are absolutely amazing. They come together to support everyone from athletes to students participating in UIL events. No one is ever left on their own in Sundown. The community is very friendly here, we have some of the best barbecue in the state of Texas with Rejino Barbecue, yearly events with the Sandhills Celebration every year in the month of August, Hometown Christmas where the community gathers for celebration, food, hot chocolate, sleigh rides, and of course seeing Santa!
