My neighbors do not both me and I do not bother them the area is clean and being on Cantrell is very convenient. Niche User: Overall, my neighborhood in Hillsborough has been a memorable place for me to live throughout my later childhood years. My neighbors have always been inviting and the community is something I will miss while I'm in college. It has a nature and family friendly atmosphere that is exemplified through its park and pool area in the middle of the neighborhood. One of my favorite things about where I live is that my house is encompassed by mountains and is surrounded on all sides. If I had the option to move back to Little Rock in the future, I would love to live where I am now, however there are other parts of town I would want to experience as well. Personally, there is a part in Little Rock called the Heights and Hillcrest that has classy and old fashioned houses in well organized neighborhoods. If I were to move back to LR after college those would be options for me as well. Little Rock is on its way to becoming a safe and family friendly city with beautiful nature and scenery.... Current Resident: I moved here in 2016 when it was very sleepy. I moved here BEFORE the Trader Joe's, Costco, Chase Bank What a Burger, Amazon Warehouse, Miniature Golf Courses, Beef A Roo, Aldi's (coming soon) etc. Housing was dirt cheap seven years ago. Today housing is moderately high due to the influx of young professionals and families looking for a better quality of life at an affordable price. LR is no longer cheap but not ridiculously high either. Well not yet. LR has a lot to offer with it's slower pace, light traffic most of the time and beautiful scenery. If one likes milder Winters with little or no snow, sunny days (LR and NLR ranks 10th sunniest city in America)and humidity this is the place to be. The number of hospitals are great! We have five in LR and the Children's Hospital is well renowned in the US. I am literally 3 miles from my doctors which is a blessing. LR also have Carti Cancer Center and a VA Hospital. Current Resident: I have been living in Maumelle for over two years now. I only have positive experiences with Maumelle overall, but there are a few changes. I used to live in Conway, which is not far from Maumelle. I originally come from an area where there is not much upper class. Maumelle has given me many opportunities that none of my other past living residents ever gave me. The school system is one of the best schools for any child to go. The community pool in Maumelle is also a significant part of it too. My siblings always have something to do during the summer. Some changes though, is I would like for Maumelle to have more diversity. Diversity is a crucial part of everyone's life. Other than diversity, Maumelle is a great place to live in.... Current Resident: My family and I moved in the area back in 2008. I found out about the area because of a job I applied for. I didn't know this area was even around. The school is well organized and the community is quite. The area has a shopping center nearby so you don't have to travel far. The community is very quite and police pratol the area often. Current Resident: We moved here in December of 2020 and I love it here for the most part. It is much more quiet and the city has different entertainment choices, places to eat etc to where you don’t feel the need to drive to the next city. I do however hate the traffic, it is horrible. And I wish there were more speed bumps, we have none in my neighborhood and my kid has been ran off the road on his bike, almost hit just walking on the side of the road because we have no sidewalks by drivers who refuse to drive 25mph instead they are usually going about 30-35 mph, sometimes faster.... Current Resident: Benton is an awesome place to raise your kids. Benton has a very community-oriented mindset with many events being held downtown. Since I moved here in 2012 I have seen a great increase in events and activities in my town. The schools in Benton are absolutely phenomenal as well, from kindergarten through Senior year the Benton School District offers an unbeatable education in a public school. The only thing I could wish for is better use of commercial real estate. I think my city fails to properly use land in busy areas where they could install new businesses that would boost the economy and morale in the city. Current Resident: Decent and very affordable neighborhood, well located on the west side of Little Rock. Very walkable in some areas (twin lakes) and close to the hospital, good school (Parkview magnet), grocery and shopping centers. People are friendly and welcoming, it is diverse and the weather is great all year long. There are a few minor crimes here and there, but nothing major and it doesn't outweigh the benefits this place has to offer. Overall I love it and recommended it. Niche User: It's an older neighborhood, so many of the residents are also older. There's a diverse population of elderly, blacks, whites, Asians, families, and kids. Everyone looks out for everyone else and helps each other with yard work, snow removal, etc. It's a rare benefit to have such a tight knit community of people.
