Current Resident: Haslett has been the perfect town to live in. It is close to major stores, MSU, and many exciting things but Haslett is really good at keeping all of the secluded from homes. When Im at my house I feel like I am in awhile different world versus when I am out shopping and having a good time. There are many big name restaurants around but there is also a goos amount of small family restaurants that are just as good (if not better) than the big restaurant chains. I think my favorite part about Haslett though is Lake Lansing Parks. Lake Lansing South has the big beautiful lake, an amazing playground for kids and it has so much green grass that you can use for picnics, laying in, or playing games like football. Lake Lansing north has another amazing playground, some softball/baseball fields, and stunning walking trails. I would 100% recommend Haslett to anyone, young families, college students, working families and even senior citizens. This town has showed me what I want for my home life.... Read 48 reviews

Current Resident: I loved the college atmosphere in East Lansing while I attending Michigan State University! My studies were challenging but engaging. The night life and tailgates made every weekend worth staying instead of traveling home. The commute time was never bad as East Lansing is based around Michigan State University. I wouldn't rate this as the most family friendly town, simply because college students can get loud and rowdy! However, there are some cute suburb neighborhoods for families who want to live in the area. Housing could be a little expensive due to the extent of college students in the area. The community also is not that far from the main strip of town where the mall, restaurants, and local businesses are located. I would live in a community like this once I developed a family because it is a great area to raise kids. Current Resident: Having both sides of my family grow up in Williamston, I am very familiar with the community and enjoy living here. I have always felt safe as a woman growing up here and enjoyed walking around town as a 6th grader without concerns. It is a tight-knit community with excellent education and sports. However, I feel there are opportunities for improvement as far as diversity and acceptance. The town is predominantly white and has had controversy in the past regarding LGBTQ+ policies.... Current Resident: My family and I moved to Dewitt in August of 2020. This was during the height of the COVID pandemic, so meeting people in the area was delayed for several months. We noticed right away living here that many of the people were very friendly and always ready to chat. DeWitt has a "small town" feel that the residents are passionate about maintaining. There are many community events throughout the year, often taking place in the small Downtown DeWitt. These events make it easy to connect with the community and meet new people. During the summer, it can be very beautiful, with the area containing many parks and well-maintained nature. The schools of DeWitt are all very close together, making it easy to navigate. You always see the same people walking or driving around, and if there's an event nearby, you're more than likely to run into people you know. Current Resident: I love the town of Dimondale! It is a very safe and quiet area where not much goes on at. I feel at home when I am in Dimondale and I would not want to live anywhere else. The houses have a big yard and aren't typically close to each other. The town has nice restaurants and a very yummy ice cream shop. I grew up here my whole life. Current Resident: Quiet town with virtually no crime. School of choice Perry, Webberville, and Williamston. While there are no stores in the town itself the drive isn't far to reach shopping areas. A 15 minute drive will put you in downtown Lansing. It can be difficult to buy a home since most residence are life long. The township has ordnances in place to prevent crowded housing.
