Current Resident: I have lived in Ridgeland just about my entire life, since I was five years old. I grew up in the city of Ridgeland attending schools in the Madison County School District all the way up until now. I am a rising senior at Ridgeland high school. I have gotten comfortable with Ridgeland, and I have made friends, met amazing people, and I have a community here. There is little issues with crime, as the Ridgeland Police Dept. are serious about working to keep the city safe, and I have no doubt in my mind that they will make sure things are taken care of. It's very diverse and open to all ethnicities and races, especially the schools. I see people of different backgrounds everyday. You won't feel isolated. I remember playing with an Indian girl close to where I lived when I was young. My school is a prime example of the diversity. Students of all backgrounds mix and mingle everyday. Current Resident: I have been living in pearl for the last 5 years, and I can confidently say it is a growing place. I currently go to Pearl high school a large school with 1,300 students, but the downside of such a large class size is that the building is 300 over max capacity. This causes issues with people being unable to get to school in time just because the car rider line is so long, and not only car riders, but also buses being unable to get on time is an issue as well. We also see this in other areas where convenience stores don’t have big enough parking lots to fit all the cars. This may become an issue if my city does not start expanding and building more. The upsides are that there are starting to be more things around as more people are moving here. We’re actually gonna get a chipotle and more entertainment areas! This wraps up my thoughts on pearl as a city, good except becoming cramped.... Read 40 reviews

Neighborhoods are great! Area offers a few apartment properties, retirement centers, clean & well managed laundry facility, a farmers market, and plenty of friendly residence. Several quick eateries & a few dine-in. I had very good experiences while attending Gary Road Elementary, Gary Road Intermediate, and Byram Middle School. High school however is located in the neighboring town of Terry. The Mayor is a down-to-earth caring family man (Richard White). The Police Department is outstanding. Byram also prides in their annual Swinging Bridge festival which includes a car show, along with the annual 5k run. Byram has it's historic Swinging Bridge and also a small park with a few sports fields and space for walking. I have lived in Byram for about 11 years. The town truly has a warm welcoming feel. Current Resident: Crystal Springs is a peaceful place to live in the countryside. I attended high school at Crystal Springs and i liked it. Attending school it was a nice experience even though we had trouble at the end of the school year. I ride the school bus with my siblings and cousin home. I like the fact that the bus driver is nice and cares about having the bus clean. When we get home we all get of to see our two puppies. Even though they sometimes bark they don’t get me in trouble with my neighbors. All my neighbors are very kind and try to help if they see there’s a problem. When me and my family lived in our old house we had many problems with one of our neighbors. They even called the police on us because of some chickens running around. When we finally moved to Crystal Springs my neighbors where nice. I mean no place is perfect because there’s always something that has to eventually go wrong. The residents of Jackson are very welcoming and extremely kind people. Everyone in Jackson supports each other in not only businesses but every day activities. They like to see everyone succeed. I would recommend Jackson to anyone. There is always stuff to do here. There is a very big mall filled with many popular stores that so many people love. There are many delicious restaurants around there area. Jackson is basically a big circle it does not take more than 20-25 minutes to get from one side of town to the other. The gas is extremely cheap and the cost of living is affordable for everyone. There are more unemployment's than it should, it's not a big town or city but it could change with opening more businesses that can be planned. The school could get more help when dealing with kids with dyslexia or any other disability, like more dyslexia teachers. But overall the school is good. More businesses in the town of Mendenhall and a recreational center for the children. A bowling alley, YMCA, places that will draw the children. The college here is a great college.
