Harmony School of Discovery - Houston
Sophomore: I've attended HSD since 6th grade, and my experience has been nice overall. I'm very grateful for the opportunities I've been offered, the people I've met, and the memories I've made here, but the school itself has room for improvement. HSD is a very demographically diverse school, but the classes offered aren't nearly as diverse. There are art and music classes, but it's clear they're only there to meet graduation requirements. The Harmony School District is very STEM-forward, so there is much less attention on liberal arts like social sciences and foreign languages at my school, something I think could be improved. AP and dual credit classes for science, math, and social studies are offered, and high school students have the chance to sign up for dual credit classes with Lone Star College, a local campus. The food isn't great, but the school is actively trying to improve on that, and the clubs are somewhat diverse. It's a nice school though, and the community makes you want to stay.... Read 53 reviews
