Former Resident: Jamestown is a beautiful town to live in it's quit and nice. What I also like about it, is it's close to shopping centers, the town also have nice park to go for a walk or a picnic. Jamestown also has it's own elementary school for kids and for most people that live close to it, they can walk there kids to school. They also have a middle school and a high school so children get to grow up with the same people they live in the same town with or been attending school with. I have lived in Jamestown for almost 6 years and I love it. My family also do because it's a small town and it's close to schools, parks, shopping centers, and entertaining activity. Jamestown also have amazing restaurant and cafe's and bakeries. One of the restaurant that's my favorite is Southern Roots they sale amazing foods and drinks. And on the weekends they sometimes have food truck and a lot of people from different towns come and enjoy the foods.... Read 25 reviews

My family had lived here for so long. Long before the outlets were built, and even longer before the supermarkets were built. Most of the people are really friendly. We have the cutest downtown shops and celebrations for holidays. The downtown part reminds me of something out of an old-timey movie. All the rustic buildings and the older signs/traffic lights. It adds to the character of Mebane. Mebane is a typically ordinary place. I say ordinary because of how simple things are. We have soccer games, people running or riding bikes, and overall just very active and engaging families in the community. There are new houses being built and so many restaurants being built. There is even a big apartment complex now. Also the elementary, middle, and high school are all very close together making it easy for every parent and student. Overall Walkertown is a great community that gives you a small town feel yet still has everything you need right there. Everything is close together and everybody knows everybody.
