Current Resident: I've lived here my whole life. I think it's a wonderful place, and there are many fun things to do there--if you look for them. There is a movie theater, bowling alley/arcade, a rafting park, a lake for boating and fishing, a BMX park, a skate park, basketball/tennis courts, sand volleyball, plenty of playgrounds and nice parks, a cozy and fun downtown area with small shops, and many delicious restaurants.
If you associate with the right people, it's a very welcoming environment. As with any town there are those who are less welcoming and tolerant, but many of the churches have friendly people. Personally, I find the crowd at the skate park to be very supportive and friendly.
It still has room for improvement, I think. It could use more diverse types of restaurants, and its recreation can always grow. But in its current state it's still just delightful, and it's expanding more every day.... Read 62 reviews
