Current Resident: While living in Millcreek all of my life, I have never had any personal problems with it, lovely town, and for the most part lovely people. School wise, its basic, but leaning more toward better than average; you either get amazing teachers, average teachers, or unbearable ones. And talking about the local area, its very lovely here. However, there has always been one small thing that gripes me about this place; their road fixing process. They always take way too much time, and they always happen during the worst parts of the year! Not to mention the various amounts of potholes on the road. The Real Estate market is varying, but there is always a house available for anyone to buy! And if one were to buy a house from realtors, I would recommend Agresti Real Estate, very kind and respectful people, and they will help you through the process. Current Resident: North East is a very nice little town! I love the school district! I guess it's only downfall is that there isn't a whole lite yo do. Current Resident: We love summit township! My husband grew up I’m Millcreek which is more popular, but we have been very happy in Summit where the schools have smaller classes and the taxes are lower. There is still new homes being built in Summit, which isn’t happening as much elsewhere in Erie. In Summit you feel out of the busiest parts of Erie, but are till near everything.... Read 8 reviews

Current Resident: Small town, rural but only about 15-20 miles to larger city of Erie, PA. Right on the shores of Lake Erie, you won't find Starbucks or Target in this town but a short drive will bring you to them plus every other big name store or restaurant. Nearby Resident: I am not a resident in Lawrence Park, but I live just outside of the community. The high school I attend, Iroquois High School, is located in Lawrence Park. Current Resident: I've personally have always felt safe here. It isn't a bad town and nothing traumatic has happened in my term of living here. We have great community events that really keep us together. Two of those events is our fireman's picnic and Dan Rice Days. Both of these events is where the community gets together to play games, buy food, hang out, raise money, and have a good time. Current Resident: Cambridge Springs is a fun, small town that offers a friendly atmosphere paired with a safe environment for all who live here. Nearby Resident: Albion Pennsylvania remains to be the town I've essentially grown up in even though I'm not a direct resident. It's where my school is located, where I pursue my passion for music, and where many of my friends live. Current Resident: I have lived all over the country in major cities, and Erie is by far the best place I have lived. There is no real traffic, no honking horns the second a light turns green, easy and free parking everywhere, people are genuinely friendly and not totally stressed out to the max, housing is insanely affordable (you can get a large, 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath house with a garage and yard in a decent neighborhood for well under $100k), there is no tax on clothing, food, or essential items like toilet paper, there are three outstanding colleges, and to top it off, we have a state park with beaches, hiking trails, kayaking, etc that is completely free. I have found that the people who think negatively about Erie have never lived outside of Erie. They have absolutely nothing to compare it with to understand how fantastic a place it really is to live. Niche User: People do not appreciate what we have as much as we should. Nothing bad really ever happens in this town, and it's sad to think that there are people who don't recognize that. The area is beautiful, the energy is positive, and when people need to come together, they do so. Overall, my experience living here since I was 5 has been nothing but good to me. I wish others could realize the lack of crime, the great school system, all of the possibilities we have. I could have grown up somewhere more interesting, yes, but I'm still not complaining....
