Current Resident: I was born and raised in the sun city El Paso. I love this city so much because of the diversity. Being right next to the border and having Fort Bliss, El Paso has become a very diverse culture that I love to be around. I also feel El Paso is a very safe city compared to others for its size. Most people in El Paso are liberal and open minded which I consider a plus as well. I think public education is pretty good with the better districts being Ysleta and Socorro. The only thing I wish to change about El Paso are the highways. They were built when this city had a smaller population and now with the city being much bigger, they can't hold all of the traffic. This leads to a lot of traffic in the afternoons which can be a hassle to get through. Other than that, I am proud to be a resident of the city of the 915 and plan to live here when I am older as well!... Read 2,067 reviews

Current Resident: I have grown up here all my life and this community is very involved. My favorite time with the community coming together is when Homecoming happens and the parade is a pretty big part of Homecoming week you have all of Canutillo schools and little leagues join in and then there is a bonfire after and it is enjoyable and neat! Also many involved in the parade and in the crowd are Canutillo Alumni and generations of Alumni so overall it feels like a little family that everyone is somehow connected... Read 21 reviews

Current Resident: We have lived in Horizon City for almost 2 years. We moved from the east side when we sold our home there. Overall, it is good and quiet except for a lot more dogs! I worked for Clint ISD & also had a small business here in Horizon. I have seen it grow the past few years. Lots of businesses, hospital, good police/emergency services & churches. My concern is the higher taxes in the last few years. We would love to stay if tax rate doesn't increase; my husband and I are retired. I would like to see a library/community center so anyone could use instead of going in to El Paso. Having to pay $50 /year to check out books there is not a good idea... older residents (like myself) could benefit as well as children. Community activities such as city planning, community education such as safety awareness, diet/nutrition. Much needed recycling, water conservation. It continues to be a very nice place to live. I really like that Socorro is independent from all “El Paso”, and since it is closed to the Zaragoza international bridge most of the citizens are Bilingual, which is impressive. The people is really respectful to other cultures allowing it to be diverse and comforts to live on. If you have no emotional attachment to it, however, this place may range anywhere from not being for you to being desirable. It is a low-income place which recently became its own city. Structures built before the codes are grandfathered and there are hardly any sidewalks. Most people commute to El Paso to work, buy groceries, be entertained, go to the hospital or do pretty much anything else besides sleep. Current Resident: I love Chaparral! I have lived in Chaparral for almost five years now and there is nothing like it. Dirt storms are the worst but it is one flaw in a very small list of flaws. There is a quietness and stillness at night that makes you feel so peaceful. The stars at night brighten up the sky like no other. You wish the nights would never end. There is trash on some corners of the town, but my friends and I like to make it a point to pick up as much trash our trash bags can fit. This activity brings us together. It seems like the town brings everyone together. Everyone is so kind. If you ask them for an egg or flower they will give it to you. All year my neighbor grows his own produce. So, in the summer he always gives us fruits like watermelons, melons and cucumbers. You can start up a conversation with anyone in Chaparral. The schools have amazing teachers that care for their students and their work. Living in Chaparral is like living on a secluded desert island with nice people.... Read 43 reviews

Current Resident: I love Agua Dulce because of the diversity inside this little, tiny community and the amazing people that are very friendly and make the environment comfortable. The job opportunities in this place are diverse for teenagers looking to make some money and quite often the work places here are very stress free and very safe to be in. Live by here is quite affordable and meets an affordable price range for buying necessities (like food and such) and personal consumerism (technology, entertainment and etc.,) and also has very nice restaurants to go out with peers to hang out.
