Monument is a growing town with new development almost everywhere. It can seem bad with the construction zones, but it's mostly in one area of the town. Current Resident: If you love Colorado and want to live here, Colorado Springs (COS) is an excellent place to find a great price without compromising quality. Every town has its pros and cons. Compared to other cities, COS is one of the best places to live! The view of Pike's Peak right outside our windows never gets old! We have very quick access to the mountains, including a back route to the resorts along I-70 and the San Juan mountains. An endless list of unique, world-class places to explore and recreate. Denver is a quick drive. Although work opportunities are plentiful here, many people commute for work because the cost of living in Denver is high. The airport is a gem! We usually arrive within the hour of take-off time and get right in without a line or a TSA wait. There are some great schools. Low cost of living Property taxes are LOW! Current Resident: We have lived here for a year and a half. We have a small child and the neighborhood is very family friendly. We live in Claremont Ranch and there is no HOA, which is a plus to us. The neighborhood still looks pretty good. There is some theft crime, but that is anywhere you go nowadays. The park nearby is small, but good for our uses. Probably not for older kids. Close to King Soopers and really anything one might need. Good view of Pikes Peak in most of the neighborhood. My only beef is that the houses are too close together. I basically see houses out of every window in my house. However I realize this is common here. I'm from Texas and lived in a small town where the houses are a little more spread out. That also seems all over the Springs. Not necessarily Cimarron Hills.... Read 39 reviews

Nearby Resident: It’s a pretty small town and I like that. It’s very family friendly and the view of the mountain is great! I do wish though that it was a bit cleaner. Some of the restraints could be cleaner and sometimes there is a lot of trash outside. But the people are friendly overall and there are some cute little dining places there.
