Current Resident: I liked growing up in Murrysville. A majority of people are very friendly and welcoming - my neighbors were some of my closest friends throughout childhood. While my school does have some problems, I do think it is a lot better than a number of other nearby schools. There are plenty of places to eat, whether it's grabbing a bite on the go or sit-down restaurants, and there are dozens of hiring establishments that are perfect for a teen's first part-time job. It is in a great area, where neighboring towns, such as Penn Trafford, Plum, Monroeville, etc., are all very close and easy to access. Quite honestly, there is nowhere I would have rather grown up than where I did. While it does have some problems, I think overall the town itself makes up for it - the pros outweigh the cons, in my opinion.... Read 67 reviews

Former Resident: North Huntingdon has grown over the years. There are many places to shop and grab a bite to eat. The housing also has grown over the years for people who would be interested in a great school district. The PA turnpike has an exit to North Huntingdon which makes it very easy to travel to near by areas via highways which cuts down on the commute. You would be far enough away from the City of Pittsburgh but yet close enough if you want to go down to catch a ball game or dinner. Also, you are not too far away from ski resorts if that is something you would be interested in come the winter months. Just take the PA Turnpike and head out to Donegal or Somerset. It is a very nice place to live, the school district is a higher ranked school district and it is overall family friendly with so many options. Living in North Huntingdon has everything you need at a slightly higher cost for living but in the end it is all worth it.... Read 84 reviews

Current Resident: I am a resident in Ligonier, PA. In my opinion, Ligonier is a calm, small, and social community. It is mainly older residents who live in this town. Ligonier Valley High School is a public school I attend. I am a senior this year and one thing I've realized is that you need the right last name to get any attention. I am trying to apply to as many scholarships I can in order to continue my education. A majority of the population in Ligonier is wealthy so a lot of kids are forunate enough to go straight to college but, for me I have to work for what I want.
