Current Resident: Overall, this is a nice place to retire, however, not the cheapest. The weather is good, not great. In winter, the temperature will drop in the twenties, but will hover around 40's- 50's, with occasional snow that melts in a day. Hot weather will begin in late May, with temperatures in the upper nineties to over 105 almost every single day until late September. The red mountain scenery is nice, but I miss the green scenery where I came from. The politics in this area is conservative which suits me fine, however, I am finding that some people here are unreliable in business dealings, especially when you are looking to have some work done on your house. Prices for quotes are all over the place, so be careful. Just because someone is Mormon, does not not mean they are honest. I have found some excellent businesses, who are honest and LDS, but I shopped around. I am doing well as a non Mormon here and people are friendly, but I am friendly as well.... Read 60 reviews
