It is also centrally located between Frederick and Hagerstown, but there is a lot of land in Boonsboro so nice to have space and be in nature. I would like to see more shops and restaurants, but again it is centrally located so that is not too much of an issue and it truly has everything you need (grocery stores, hardware, restaurants, library, etc.)... Winning state championships is a big deal and the whole town gets together to celebrate. The Potomac river is right through the town and everyone is considered a "River rat" because we go swim in it! The schools prepared our children for entry to UMD College Park and James Madison in Virginia. Crime is very rare and usually related to petty theft and minor infractions. While shopping is very limited, three miles away are shops, great restaurants, groceries and gas stations across the Potomac in WV. Employment us typically found within larger cities nearby, but an ever growing group of commuters hop MARCRail to DC for the opportunity to have a career in that area. Families are everything here.
