Current Resident: New Albany is a small town located in Northeast Mississippi. In 2018, New Albany was voted the best small town in the south. Southern living showed how it is great, and it was shown on Good Morning America and USA Today. Downtown is great. There are plenty of boutiques and a few restaurants. Many visitors think it is neat how most of the locals will park in the middle of the street. New Albany has a lot of charm. In 2020, USA Today named it “The Best Southern Small Town.” It’s also one of “The 10 Most Beautiful Cities in The State.” It's filled with seasonal festivals, farmer’s markets and community events that make the locals and tourists all have fun.... Current Resident: It's a small town. That can be good or bad. It just depends on what you're looking for in life. I technically live in west union. The school is awesome. Your child will learn, is safe, and the people are friendly and actually care. There's nothing to do. No community activities, no sports organizations (other than for kids), no nightlife, and no concerts nearby. You can drive an hour to go see one though. If you want rural, country, small town American life than this is for you. If not, then it's a no. If you want a mix, head on over to Oxford or Tupelo to hit that sweet spot.... Read 4 reviews
