Current Resident: This town is quaint, historical, and generally a good place to live. The people here, while it is a small town, do not seem to get too involved in each other's business. It is a very welcoming community. While there are not many things to do in the actual town, Bolivar is about a five minute drive from the historic Zoar village, which is absolutely beautiful in the spring and summer months. Bolivar also boasts Fort Laurens, a historical fort from the civil war, as well as a trail head for the towpath trail, which follows the Ohio Erie Canal. It is also an optimal 20 minute drive from more urban areas, such as New Philadelphia and Canton. Bolivar is a great mix between rural, small town life and suburban life.... Read 20 reviews

Former Resident: I gave New Phila 5 stars but that really is not accurate. I grew up there and can't imagine a better place in which to be a kid - tree climbing, fort building, sandlot ball, bike riding, the library (when it really was a library) and lots of kids my age to mess around with. Great childhoo place...but...I would never want to live there as an adult. Not much to do once you graduate from high school. Up till then, 5 stars out of 5. After that, well, meh.... Read 34 reviews

Niche User: I live in Tuscarawas County Ohio which just so happens to have one of the largest Amish communities in the world. This area is beautiful, with green pastures, farms, and feilds of corn. Tuscarawas county is mainly a rural area with small knit communities of mainly German and Swiss herataige. The area is a huge tourist hub and I see this aspect of the area growing continually in the future, especially due to increasing urbanization. If I had to do it over again I would not change a single thing. Ilove this area and the people in it.... Read 3 reviews

Current Resident: I have lived in Goshen my entire life. This is a very small, rural community and it feels just like that. You go to school with the same people from kindergarten to senior year. Goshen is more a family rather than a town. Every year the whole town comes to the schools for a parade and homecoming game, all wearing red and grey. Recently our community has experienced several losses and we all came together to support one another. I couldn't think of a better town to grow up in or a better places to call home.... It is also very close to Hunter Elementary. The downside would be State Route 122, this is a very busy road that most neighborhoods let out onto. Current Resident: Gnadenhutten is an extremely small town, so small that hardly anybody has heard of it. It's a very quiet town, and hardly any crime ever happens. There is a Family Dollar, and a couple of shops around town. Indian Valley High School is located here, so it's not a completely dead town. However, it's a beautiful one. The park is well kept, and great for sledding, and the nature center is stunning. The 4th of July Festival is amazing here and people from all over the area come to see our fireworks and shows.
