Current Resident: My experience in Wellsboro has been amazing since the day I was born. I grew up in this town and I love the rural setting. Everything here feels like home and is extremely welcoming. The Grand Canyon is a beautiful tourist attraction and brings many visitors to the town. Wellsboro could work harder on the amount of diversity in the town. The town is predominantly filled with white, straight, republicans. This can cause a great lack of perspectives. Current Resident: Looked for 3 years to find a spot to retire found this town. Purchased 2.5 acres just outside of Wellsboro. Lots to do out doors hiking ,fishing,biking,motorcycle riding,golf. Current Resident: The city life in Pittsburgh is unique. Lawrenceville offers a young, hip, city-living vibe that is far enough from downtown to not be in the city congestion. With a large variety of restaurants and bars, finding a place to go out on the weekends is easy. There's a local movie theater and bowling alley that both only require a good time. Meeting new people is easy and fun. Everyone is social and with new apartment complexes coming in, a large amount of housing is available. It's also close to universities so a quick bus ride or bike ride is all you need. Lawrenceville is pet-friendly with a local dog run down by the river trail by the 40th Street bridge. Niche User: I have lived in Covington, Pennsylvania for over sixteen years. My overall experience of this area has been pleasant. It does have the stereotypical small town atmosphere. However, living in a small town has a warmhearted feeling. With a population of a little over one thousand people, for the most part everyone knows each other. This quality is wonderful because it is easier to trust others rather than in a high populated area where you might not know anyone. The future for this area is exciting! Recently, natural gas industries have created thousands of jobs and opportunities for Covington. Several jobs and people have entered the town, creating a more diverse population.
