Current Resident: I absolutely love living in Painted Post! The town has many parks, and a bike/walking path that allow for a chance to exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Painted Post is a short drive or walk away from downtown Corning, which allows for even more parks and a lovely shopping district. Everyone in Painted Post is very friendly, so it is not hard to make friends. The local community supports projects to improve life in Painted Post, like a dog park and a Little Free Library. My only complaint about living in Painted Post is the train yard across the river. At night the trains can sometimes get quite loud, and at times it can be hard to sleep over the noise. Overall living in Painted Post is wonderful. I enjoy the people, the area, and the atmosphere. I am proud to be living in Painted Post.... Read 15 reviews

Current Resident: Because of its proximity to Corning Incorporated, South Corning is filled with opportunities. The money of Corning Incorporated brings in allows for parks to be built and for the public school system to be especially well supplied. Additionally I was afforded the opportunity to participate in a Corning internship where I worked under a PhD scientist. In this internship I learned valuable skills and also learned more about the field I want to go into. Corning offers many other science related programs as well, such as a robotics team, in order to encourage the local youth to become involved in future employment. Current Resident: I moved to Hornell in April of 2021. The community here is loving, proud, helpful, and family oriented. Where I come from, it is every man for himself, however, to my surprise, I have never felt more at home. There are a thousand people at any given time ready to give a shoulder or wisdom. The family run businesses look out for one another as well. Most give out coupons for other businesses if purchases are made, and I think that is beautiful. Current Resident: If you are looking for a quiet, safe community to raise a family, this place is for you. While there are limited activities in the village, we are close to several larger cities and towns that may offer some more to do. It is extremely safe here, as far as crime goes, the most that happens around here is drug related. We have a very proactive police force and dedicated fire and EMS. It Is a small town, most everyone knows eachother which can be a blessing and a curse. The schools are very good, they care about giving your children the best possible education. So if you are looking for a very safe, small town atmosphere with friendly people. Look no further.... Read 7 reviews
