Current Resident: Castleton is a quiet and beautiful small town. There are a handful of small local restaurants and businesses. The college brings youth to an otherwise older community, and for the most part the student are very respectful. They hold small community events like free concerts and parades. It's also a farming community so there is plenty of fresh food to enjoy. If you want more of small city vibe with chain stores and fast food you only need to add drive 10-20 minutes away.
