Current Resident: Forest City isn't that big which is good for me I like it that way. Even though our town is small it has interesting things to do. We have great places to take pictures, you can go skating, drive in movies. Everyone here is very friendly and you hardly find someone without the Southern hospitality. It's not that far away from bigger cities which is a plus. The schools I have been are good the teachers care about the students and if they succeed of not. It has perfect weather! In the summer you get the good warm weather and in the winter you get the freezing cold weather.... Read 38 reviews

Current Resident: Small town friendly. Near the mountains with beautiful views. It’s close enough to town but in a rural area. My mom and grandfather both went to the same elementary school and high school that I graduated from. I like living in a small community where everyone knows everyone. I grew up going out and playing baseball, nerf wars and riding bikes/scooters in my neighborhood with the kids that lived close to me. We would play until dark in the summer. Current Resident: Bostic is a very small town and there is not much to do, but I love the mountains and the wonderful people that it provides. It's a great place for a peaceful stay and if you don't like to be around many people. Sometimes I think I know everyone in my town but in reality I don't, I believe my town to be much smaller than it is already. Compared to neighboring towns like Charlotte, Bostic is nothing. Current Resident: I love Ruth. It's not the type of place if you like the fast-paced life. I'm surrounded by nice neighbors, it's not a huge town and I don't expect much in the way of town services. Most people keep up their yards nicely. People are friendly and it's centrally located between Morganton, Marion, Hendersonville, Asheville, Gastonia, Charlotte and Upstate South Carolina. The local school systems do a decent job and there are charter and private school options nearby. This is definitely a family-friendly area, but nothing in the way of nightlife in town. Commute time largely depends on where you work, but traffic congestion is not an issue at all. Ruth sits at the head of a recently completed "Thermal Belt Rail Trail" that extends through several small towns in the county in its 13.5-mile length and is a popular venue with families and cyclists....
