- Town in Missouri

Current Resident: Doniphan is a small rural town with a popular river flowing through it. Growing up here there isn't a lot offered however it is rather peaceful and low on major crime. For work there are a few places in town but most people drive to neighboring cities; this is roughly 40 minutes one way. Being a small town it does not cost much to live here. Even going to the local cities for culture and activities does not cause one to "break the bank". Housing can be expensive depending on where you are buying; riverfront property being of course much more expensive than down town.
I used to not enjoy living here when I was a kid; couldn't wait to go to a big city and live. Now, I enjoy raising my children here and listen to their dreams of leaving to live in a city!
