Current Resident: Council Bluffs has been my home since birth but it is scarcely the same little city it once was. It is now a great mix of city and rural areas and everything in between. It offers something for everyone, whether you are old or young, single or married, large family or small. I love that we have some large chain stores and restaurants but also have our own unique small businesses that sprouted right here.
Council bluffs has a wide array of socioeconomic layers; however is lacking in rich diversity of ethnic backgrounds. Minorities are largely under-represented. This has improved over the years but it could still be better.
Still loving the small town feel with big city amenities.

Current Resident: Living in Underwood is great. It's a small town that does a lot. The school district is one of the best in the state of Iowa and even the country. Teachers interact with students very well in the school district, but also work together as neighbor's. Underwood is a small community of around 1,000 people. Everyone in the town helps each other no matter what happens. We come together for celebration or even in a time of loss. We interact with other small towns and get together. We are about a 30-45 minute drive to the city of Omaha, Nebraska. Living here is great and an awesome experience.
