Current Resident: Geneva is a very attractive city that offers a lot for a place with less than 13k residents. The nightlife is great and there's a bar for almost every taste. The food scene is also diverse for a small town. The library and local art gallery actively host nice events for people take part in. For former city-dwellers, it can be a bit quiet in the winter but as late spring comes along there's also a lot in the way of live music and concerts all around town throughout each week. Downtown has really come to life over the past 10 years, but there's still room for more growth. A proper bakery, a yoga studio, more retail, art class studios (for kids & adults), more organized exercise classes (rock climbing gym, dance studio for adults) and more trees along the streets would make this place come together beautifully. The reason these things aren't already in existence is due to the heavy reliance on tourism dollars, but w/ the recent influx of more 30somethings there's more chance for success.... Read 30 reviews

Current Resident: If you like a small town, with friendly neighbors its the perfect place. There are trails to walk on, with fitness stations along the walk. A dog park to enjoy with your furry friends. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Crime rates are low, and kids are safe to play at the parks. The parks offer baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball court, pavilion, and a park. This is a great small town, with a small school with graduating class of about 50 to 70 people. The down fall would be that other than the parks and trails there isnt much in the town it's self. Current Resident: Clifton Springs is a nice, quiet, and conservative town. It's very old-fashioned and traditional. There aren't many shops here and what shops we do have close early. This is a good town for young families. Most people who live here have lived here for generations. The houses are charming but many run down. There is not much diversity here. It's also a pretty secluded location, with it taking about 20 minutes to get to familiar stores. But the outdoors and nature of the town are beautiful and more than make up for it.... Read 4 reviews

There are so many extracurriculars to join and the school takes mental health and bullying very seriously. The town could be a lot better with better shops or boutiques but it slowly growing. Current Resident: I have lived here my whole life! It is absolutely beautiful. There is a gorgeous lake for swimming, kayaking, sailboarding, paddleboarding, and boating. Canandaigua has a rich history, my own house was actually built in 1860. I live a 2 minute walk from Ontario Pathways, a gorgeous scenic trail throughout the county side by side with a railroad, the canal, and it is breathtaking in the fall and summer. Current Resident: I moved to Naples from Austin, TX. I love the small town feel with people greeting one another and stopping to catch up in passing. It is a very family and pet friendly community. While I did not attend Naples schools, I have only heard good things from both past and current students. It is a town with many beautiful hiking trails in the surrounding area and although there is not much nightlife, it is not too far of a drive to larger cities. Current Resident: I have lived in Gorham since I was 2 years old, and I can say I wouldn't have wanted to live any where else. It is a small town just ten minutes from Canandaigua. It also has its own small grocery store so if you need something quick you can run there rather than have to drive into town. It is beautiful and the community is very close knit and welcoming to new people. The elementary school is right in town which makes it easy for kids to walk to school during the nice days if they would like. It also has a public library which is run by the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Every year we host the Pageant of bands, a big event in Ontario county.
