Current Resident: I moved to Lexington to get away from the vibe of Athens, a college town. It is quite rural. There is only one stop light in the entire county! The people are friendly and welcomed me with open arms. As to be expected, there is the small-town gossip. There isn't much to do so plan on driving at least 15-20 min to get anywhere. If you want a relaxing, peaceful place, it is perfect.
