Suburb of Philadelphia, PA
Current Resident: Ardmore has been a wonderful place to be raised. There is so much to do in and around Ardmore. The neighborhoods are quiet, which is quite nice. The neighbors and friends you meet while living in Ardmore are the best! It is super close to Suburban Square, a shopping center filled with a diverse range of stores. Additionally, it's only a 25-minute drive from Philly, which makes it extremely easy when you need to take a trip into Philly. The Ardmore community is unmatched and many other surrounding towns attempt to replicate this same environment, but fail... Read 35 reviews

Parent: My stepsons have been attending Upper Bucks Christian School for many years, with the oldest about to be a senior. The family atmosphere and the way the younger students look up to the upperclassmen warms my heart, and I know it is because the faculty takes great lengths to develop those relationships, modeling service to others. The academics are great and most graduates go on to successful careers.I love that trade schools as well as colleges are encouraged. We have benefitted the most from the athletic programs,in which coaches work to get individuals playing time so they can test their growing skills of discipline and sportsmanship all while being encouraged to play to glorify God.I am especially thankful for the administration that has been in charge of making the difficult decisions regarding the covid pandemic. Most of all,I love that this school remains focused on giving our children education based on a Biblical worldview, which is really what matters most in life and their futures.... Current Resident: My wife and I have lived in Conshy for almost 4 years now! We absolutely love living here. Conshy has a bustling city feel with a outdoorsy suburban vibe. You get the best of both world while paying low taxes and having a top tier school district. The resturant scene and small town feel was another reason why we gravitated towards the area! There are endless restuarants to choose from and there are new "ghost kitchens" poping up all over. Most if not all of the resurants and stores are pet friendly which is a plus. The accessibiliy to the local trails and parks is another selling point for the area. I enjoy riding my bike along the scenic schuylkill river trail to Valley Forge Park (10 miles up and 10 miles back). Lastly, I am excited for the redevelopment of the waterfront and the new train station. Mixing the historic buildings with the new will definetely reshape city scape of Conshy. My wife and I are excited to be apart of the next chaper of Conshy!... Read 43 reviews

Current Resident: Jenkintown is a wonderful community to grow up in! Pros: - fun traditions/events like the pumpkin drop, the arts festival - well established and cute downtown area - shorter train ride to center city than many inner-city neighborhoods like Mt Airy and Chestnut Hill (from our station it takes 20-35 minutes depending on where you're going) - economically diverse - lots of different housing options costing anywhere from $90,000 all the way to maybe $800,000. We have apartments, rowhomes, twins, and singles of all sizes. Cons: - Jenkintown isn't especially diverse racially. However, I've seen it get more and more diverse in the years I've been here.... Current Resident: Plymouth Meeting is a safe area with easy access to Philadelphia and a plethora of options for shopping and fun. It’s within 10-15 minutes to King of Prussia Mall, 30 minutes to the outlets, and about an hour and a half to the beach. Housing options in this area are nice, there are lots of perks and greenery, and the school district is top notch. There are a lot of families residing in Plymouth Meeting, and plenty of fun things to do for kids, including farms, Legoland, playgrounds and community centers. The traffic can get a little backed up, but it’s expected in such a suburban hot spot. Overall, I really enjoy living in Plymouth Meeting and feel like I can settle down here for years to come.... Current Resident: Living in Blue Bell is very nice! It's quiet, peaceful and there are amazing places for entertainment near by. Blue Bell's community is very polite as well, I think it's a good place to be if you'd like to have peace and quiet. The only draw back I can think of is that there getting to a shopping center is tricky without a car. There is also a great amount of construction that goes on, it can get in the way of driving. Current Resident: I love North Wales! There's restaurants and stores everywhere, neighborhoods are kept clean and close together. There's always new flowers being planted and they listen to community advice. My grandfather suggested the neighborhood brick entrance sign looked a little dirty and falling apart. A month later it was restored, repainted and they installed all new gold lettering, so I'd say, very on top of things! I'm not much of a party girl so I can't say much on nightlife. One of the best public school systems in the state adequately prepares students for college and the professional world. The neighborhood is very safe which usually results in cops terrorizing kids. Current Resident: Fort Washington is a relatively small town with about 2,000 residents. One of the best things about Fort Washington is its easy access to the city of Philadelphia. it takes roughly 30-45 minutes by car and there's the possibility of taking the train as well. The schools accessible from this town are phenomenal options like Upper Dublin, LaSalle, and Germantown Academy. Each of these schools being commutable through bus or car. The town has an abundance of parks and fields fit for playing varieties of sports and games. You will feel safe where ever you go and not much of a threat or any commotion encountered. A major negative about Fort Washington is definitely its affordability. Fort Washington has an extremely high property tax that seems to be the main repellent turning away families. Regardless, many houses are always going on and off the market keeping the area buzzing. Fort Washington is your above average mainly white suburb right outside of Philadelphia.... Read 27 reviews

It is mainly families in this neighborhood but the kids are never too noisy. If I could do the process over again, I would still want my parents to chose this neighborhood to live in. Although we moved in when i was 10, this home means more to me than the one we were in before. After living in a small townhouse, it is so refreshing being in this neighborhood. Big, beautiful trees cascading over children playing in the yards. In the future, I believe more and new families will continue to move here.
