Current Resident: Key West is literally paradise, I fell in love with this island the first time I visited and decided to move here, is the perfect town, kids love it here and you will never get bored in this place: beach, free swimming pool, cinema, activities, water sports, great weather, good food, good people, no crime, tropical weather, diversity, art shows, art galleries, boating...there is always something going on, festivals, concerts... there is people from all over the world and Old Town is really walkable. Cost of living in extremely high for renters, so beware, is paradise but is paradise for people with money. An amazing place and my favorite in the US .... Read 67 reviews

Current Resident: I have been living in Islamorada for about 4 years now, and it has been a great experience. It goes great with the saying I live where you vacation. Current Resident: Tavernier is amazing, it is a small tight-knit community. Everyone knows everyone in some way so everyone is nice to one another. Current Resident: While Cudjoe key is a great place for people, especially after retirement to settle down, it may not be the best area for children. That's not in a bad way, as it's a perfectly safe area, there's just not much to do in the area. The nearest park is 15 minutes away and unless you have a boat, you're stuck just roaming the neighborhood. Cudjoe key is definitely better for older couples who just want a quiet place to settle down. Especially if they happen to be private pilots as there's a private airport in the neighborhood!
