We miss the tight knit community with unique homes on beautiful land. The schools are great and the town is welcoming. Time slows down in town, which is great for day to day life, but you have neighboring communities with a lot to do just minutes away. You can even head into New York for just the day. Current Resident: I love this town with everything I have in me. The community is incredible. You become really close with your neighbors, and those who live around you. The friends you meet at the corner store, the church, or even the local Christmas tree farm are ones for life. Not only that, but it's gorgeous. A very small town, definitely in the woods, but it's so beautiful. The fresh air and the fowers in the summer, or watching the snowfall in the winter. Either way, it's a place to fall in love with. Everyone knows everyone, which is really sweet. There are many different outdoor attractions nearby, such as waterfalls and state parks. Current Resident: Sharon, CT. consider to be a small town and have a population of almost 3000 people. It is about 5 mins from New York and 15 mins from MA. Local Fire and EMT are all volunteers. Current Resident: My family and I have lived here for 10 years, and have 2 young children in Botelle. This is genuinely a wonderful town. It is somewhat remote, but idyllic in setting and feel. There is no local work, ( unless you want to open a business) and you will have to travel. Norfolk is however, the type of town you want to raise your family in. The school has lost a lot of funding from the state, but teachers and staff do genuinely care about student well being, and the town is no different.
