Current Resident: This is like a little piece of heaven on Earth. Nearly everyone in the Jackson Township/Myerstown area are good, hard-working folks who value their town. I have lived here for 6 years now and feel like I've been here my whole life. The community is so welcoming and respectful. I see a level of community involvement here I have never seen before, especially out of students. Everything from FFA, 4H, to Rotary Club and other community organizations. People care about this town and work to improve it. My wife and I were both able to find great jobs in town and live extremely comfortably, given $225k+ in income and the extremely low cost of living. I live on a little over 2 acres of land with a 5 bed/3 bath house, and my taxes are less than $5k/year. Besides the community and economic benefits, it is just beautiful country. It's as if God asked me to create a town and choose the people who live in it. Life is slow, work is hard, and family, God, and Education reign above all else.... Read 17 reviews

Current Resident: Lebanon is my hometown, a place that has constantly new residents entering. I see Lebanon as a city that is on the rise. It is exploding with housing and job opportunities. In Lebanon, we lots of diversity. One thing I love about diversity is that even though my neighbors are so different than me, we are still connected. We share a friendly smile and a helping hand when possible because that's what we do. It has a number of small businesses and farms. It is a busy place but also a place where you can kick back in South Hills park, or go for a drive on some back country roads. I am very proud to live in Lebanon because of it's welcoming hands to diversity. It doesn't take long to see this if you stroll the streets or enter the farmers market. Or that might just be me because my mother knows almost everyone. With being a resident I have realized so much about this little town. If you don't mennonites or amish then this is not a place for you to live. There is an abundance of them. I like how friendly the people you know are. What I would like to see change is the roads to be fixed. I would also like to see the people become nicer to one another. I had a bunch of vacations this summer down south.
