Current Resident: The Timnath area is lovely. My neighborhood includes miles of walking trails, playgrounds, pools, and views of the Rocky Mountains. The local schools are outstanding at all levels and the area is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the other amenities of Fort Collins, CO. Current Resident: It's tops in the nation for bike riding, and its mild sunny climate; has excellent schools, many green spaces and natural areas; an excellent music scene including The Music District and an award winning CO public station KRFC; award winning City government; super safe; walkable; highly educated; beautiful architecture and fun vibe with concerts & festivals in Old Town; gorgeous Cache La Poudre River runs thru; Horsetooth Reservoir is 20 minutes away for recreation; has an engaged community through the CSU Center for Deliberation and via City boards, commissions, and inclusive meetings; it ain't called The Choice City for decades for nothing! We discovered this town when my husband and I were almost 60 and left a gorgeous place in Atlanta cuz this is easier living, with its smaller physical size and its longer range planning. The safe surroundings welcome new families and ensure safety for children, pets, and all individuals. Compiled with job opportunities, healthy eating options, and efficiency, Johnstown is located off the interstate, offering timely commutes for work. My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Johnstown. Witnessing its growth and prosperity brings joy for the next generation of residents. Knowing everyone in your neighborhood is not a necessity for this town to feel like home. Current Resident: It is a beautiful area to live in, I have had a great experience so far. I have lived here for one year, and truly don’t have many complaints. I love my neighbors, the stores in the area, and downtown area. The only problem has been increasing crime. The area is growing rapidly so that also comes with its own problems such as increased crime. Lately there has been more police presence in nearby areas due to robberies, or other crimes. Current Resident: We are a young family who have been living in Estes Park for almost a decade. There are so many wonderful things about this tiny town and some not so great things. We love the tiny community feel; Everyone knows everyone. Everyone is active in some way, so family get togethers often revolve around outdoor activities and we LOVE that! The views and location can't be matched. Unfortunately the town isn't made for families. It's built for tourism. The housing is wildly expensive and there's not nearly enough. Current Resident: Great small town with nice folks. Not very developed. A few parks, but lacks nice trails. There is a brewery or two here, a local coffee shop, and two chain coffee shops. Cool antique store. Several parts of town have a nice view of the mountains, but I can't see them from my house. I ran a 5K with my family the other day. It was sponsored by one of the local breweries. Afterwards, there was a little party. The town is kind of clicky....some folks have lived here a while, so it can feel like a high school at times. Who care, though, ya know? What's great about it is that it is small. I took my daughter to her volleyball game the other Saturday morning and there were no cars on the road. Very nice. I work in Ft. Collins, and I drive a beautiful two lane highway to work every morning. Perfect time to listen to the Conan O'Brien podcast.... Read 18 reviews
