Current Resident: The location and atmosphere is perfect. It has multiple entry points to major highways and is a short drive to downtown Cleveland to the west or Akron to the south. It has a nice mix of suburban streets and neighborhoods as well as country roads with homes that have large yards. It is very quiet in terms of not having traffic or city noises. We are also very close to a Cleveland Metropark location (North Chagrin) that has a waterfall and Squire's Castle. There's ample shopping within the city limits and the next towns over in all 4 directions. Lakeland Community College is also a short distance away. As part of the Willoughby-Eastlake system, the schools are very good and offer a variety of options for all types of learning. The new high school campus includes the YMCA and the Senior Center. We have lived here for 19 years and love it. It is also increasing in diversity which is nice.... Read 19 reviews

Current Resident: Madison Ohio. A quiet town that sits right on Lake Erie. When I was younger I used to think there was no place more boring on planet Earth. While that's not exactly true, Madison isn't really the hot spot of the nation. There aren't any huge attractions or crazy things going on in Madison, but there is a lot to appreciate. There are a few good, small, family-owned restaurants. They're filled with good food and love. There are some of the most beautiful parks you'll see in the midwest. It's a slow-moving town. I think that's what I like most. That, or the people. The people are kind and compassionate, always willing to help. Due to its small size, it's family-like. Current Resident: This is a small bedroom community. The hub of community activity is the schools. Perry has a very modern, very high tech school facility, built with tax money from the nuclear power plant. The teachers are, for the most part, very good, as is the program. It's a big football town, in spite of its small size. In fact, aside from school activities, there's really not a lot of social life in Perry. It's also a very safe community. Things left outside on your porch or deck will still be there when you get back. Most of the homes and families are upper middle class,and home prices can be a bit on the high side--homes in Perry are at least 10% more than an identical home in the nearby town of Madison, simply because of the community and school system. Current Resident: It is a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. We have the Captain's Stadium here and the Boulevard of 100 Flags. We are right on Lake Erie which is beautiful. We are close enough to Cleveland to enjoy the city but far enough away that it doesn't interfere with our everyday life. The biggest thing I would like to see changed is Vine Street area. There are lots of houses and apartments in the area that have yard space. There are many stores and small resturants but they offer great quality services. There are always events happening in the community. The location provides a great commute to name-brand stores or the beach. The best part about the city is the diversity and kindness. It is the kind of neighborhood where you can ask to borrow an egg or two for a cake. Whenever issues arise, the township is always quick to respond and update its residents when it comes to severe weather, outages, or construction happening. During the school year, there is a lot of traffic since the consolidation of a handful of elementary schools but the building is new and large enough for these accommodations.
