Current Resident: Oswego is a great rapidly developing town with various amounts of things to do. There are a lot of great communities that love to volunteer along with the great school districts that contribute a lot to helping the surrounding areas. A lot of activities for younger children keep them occupied like the beautiful parks, trampoline parks, and neighboring water parks that are only around 10 minutes away. It's a great town to live in and they are now developing the downtown area which is turning out to look really beautiful with all the little family-owned stores and boutique shops. It is a very safe area with the police station being very close to all of the schools. I wouldn't know too much about the nightlife but from what I've seen there's not really much going on at night except for a few bars and families going out to eat at the endless amounts of restaurants nearby. Driving can be a pain sometimes with traffic but it clears up pretty quickly Amazing town!!!... Read 120 reviews

Current Resident: I love small town living, the population is just right! The neighbors are friendly around here, helping each other out. The school system is so much better than surrounding towns. Business owners get to know you on a personal level, Churches are welcoming, less crime, great kids parks and pools. And the Waterpark is 6 minutes away! Food drives, outdoor events, great restraunts, and new hotels that look great. A lot of people care about the way their yards look. Class sizes are great, lot of sports and that hometown feel when football games are going on either at the highschool, or practice in the parks. Lots of walking paths, bike paths, grocery stores are clean and the Aldi here is amazing with prices and employees.... Read 75 reviews

Current Resident: The area is very close to a variety of restaurants, stores, gyms and trails. The neighborhood is decent. There are residential area for seniors near Fernwood St and Boulder Hill Pass thus nearest these areas are where it is most quiet. Current Resident: Newark is a small rural town in Illinois. I have grown up in this town. Throughout the years, I have gotten to get close with the kids I go to school with. Us kids were blessed to be able to go to a small school together K-12. The teachers in the community are here for the students, and get to you know you on a personal level. Class sizes are small allowing us the help we need to succeed. Not only is the school great, but the town itself. The town is small with only a 1,000 residents. Even though it's small our town has a strong spirit and holds festivals throughout the year. Some of the highlights of the year are our 4th of July Parade as well as street dance. The downtown of Newark blocks off the streets allowing for the residents to get together and celebrate together. There is an annual egg drop, pork chop lunch, and water hose fight at our town's 4th of July. That is just of the great holidays celebrated in our town. Newark is a great town.... Read 4 reviews
