The community really comes together at our Sportsmans club and at many events on main street during the summer. Lots of businesses in Manteno also support community activities by providing donations. I see that unique businesses are popping up in some of these locations because of it's unique charm. It is a diverse community and I consider that a strength as well. Current Resident: This is by far the safest town I have ever been in. I know if I was out at night or during the day nothing bad would happen to me. Everyone is so nice and would do anything for you. We have a lot of hunting here, I feel safe knowing I have a community that would keep me safe. The public school I went to was ten minutes away and the teachers there care for all of their students on a personal and professional level.
