Current Resident: I moved here to take an entry-level professional position. The decision has worked out really well! North Vernon has lots of outdoor recreation nearby, low unemployment (manufacturing, healthcare, ag, and office jobs are available in a thirty minute drive), local pride, and Indy, Cinci, and Lou are all just over an hour's drive. Like most small towns, people know each other and you get to appreciate each others' quirks, interests, and faults - which is fun if you let it be! There's less to do on weeknights here, but almost always a weekend event nearby (especially in the summer/fall).... Read 14 reviews
