Former Resident: I grew up in Jacksboro. Like most young people I couldn't wait to leave this little town. Now I can't wait to come home to visit. Community support is outstanding, Friday Night Lights is a must and there are numerous recreational opportunities. Jacksboro is also rich with history of early settlers, a visit to the Fort Richardson State Park is a must for history buffs. There are numerous parades and events though out the year as well.
